The Book of Eli

Perfectly watchable Mad Max meets Pitch Black, that isn't overly preachy as you might expect.
Sherlock Holmes
PG-13
As my friend EmmaJayne says, a swashbuckling romp through olde London with a nice dynamic between the two protagnoists where they come across like an old married couple (something I can identify with through my best mate from uni /first flatmate in the big smoke). Great performances in the supporting roles too, excellent visual effects, a booming soundtrack orchestrated by Hans Zimmer, and a plot which was almost but not quite too silly. I've never had a problem with Guy Ritchie four previous successful films (I enjoyed all of them), but I think you'd be hard pressed to know this one was directed by him, apart from one motif used a few times with Holmes' fighting technique. Anyway, well worth a watch.
