The Lovely Bones - PG-13 Jackson again prooves he is one of the most talented directors working today. Well crafted and acted with some mezmerizing scenes. A film that grabs your attention and wont let go. Main complaint: A few cheesey moments. December 17, 2009

The Twilight Saga: New Moon - PG-13 By far superior to the first but that is not saying a lot. Stuff actually happened in this one (not much but still my interest level was higher). The acting and the dialogue keep this from being a good movie as well as the emoness and brooding of two key characters, but it now has me interested to see what happens in the next three (three because they are cutting the last one in half). Where the Wild Things Are - PG A superb family film that never insults the audiences intellegence. Awesome break through performance by Max Records who I see becoming a big star (if he doesn't O'D too young:P) and James Gandolfini is awesome as always. Beautiful cinematography, an awesome soundtrack and suprisingly believable film. Spinke Jonze gets better with every movie!! Only complanint would be that it is a tad underwhelming and slow in the middle. November 29, 2009

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - PG Another solid Potter film, although not as good as the past three but better than the first two. The actors continue to show they're all prefect for their individual roles and the cinematography is beautiful. The atmosphere is spot on. Main complaint would be that it is quite slow and not as engrossing as the past three films, still a top effort and I look forward to the next film in this solid franchise. November 29, 2009

Twilight - PG-13 Forced and talky bloodless vampire tale. The dialogue was so unrealistic made worse by the awkward mono tone acting (and I usually like Kristen Stewart, doesn't take away from her attractiveness though). I really don't get what all the fuss is about! If you want an awesome vampire show check out True Blood. November 29, 2009

Valkyrie - PG-13 While a tad talky and lacking in much character development it had an intriguing enough story, some truly gripping moments and beautiful cinematography to hold my attention. Beware: The German army has many different accents. November 17, 2009

Public Enemies - R A solid gangster film with Jonny Depp and Christian Bale being awesome as always. I didn't find Mann's camera work as distracting as some. If there was more character development from any character other than Dillinger this would get a higher rating (especially Bale's character !). We know Mann is capable of well developed characters in a huge backdrop of characters, just look at Heat. October 29, 2009

Up - PG Pixars best film to date! They sure know how to make a good family film that appeals to all ages. A true original with real funny, sad and touching moments. October 27, 2009

War, Inc. - R This movie is a joke. An unfunny one that tries so hard to be both funny and intellegent and fails miserably. October 26, 2009

Orphan - R Wow suprisingly good helped by some brilliant acting and chilling atmosphere. Some of the dialogue (particularly at the start) was unrealistic but I soon forgot about it once engrossed by the story. October 20, 2009

Observe and Report - R Haha awesome! Ronnie is the best character Seth Rogen has played and this is his greatest performance. Sure it is mean spirited and there are absolutley no redeeming characters but this all adds to the greatness of this movie. A real suprise! October 19, 2009

(500) Days of Summer - PG-13 One of the most honest and unflinching movies I have seen on the subject. Amazingly manages to avoid ever being depressing. Gordon'Levitt is fast becoming one of my favorite actors and is sure to have an amazing career ahead of him. October 17, 2009

Red Cliff (Chi Bi) - R An epic visual feast. Woo's best since Face/Off. Loses its pacing in the middle but makes up for it with the massive final battle. Mr. Bay and Mr. Sommers should take note, this is how you make an action film! Also was lacking in character development with the exception of the protagonist, still well worth the watch. 8/10 October 17, 2009
