In the Line of Duty V: Middle Man
Unrated
I love the final fighting scene of heroine cop Cynthia Khan against baddie sexy Aussie Kim Maree Penn. They kick ass!
My Lucky Stars
PG-13
Hilarious and some remarkable action sequences on Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, and marks the Hong Kong debut of Japanese crunch-princess Michiko Nishiwaki, but those who gnash their teeth at extended buddy-buddy gag sequences should be forewarned.
I like the scene of Chan fighting his way through the surreal funhouse into a criminal syndicate's headquarters.
Dragonheart
PG-13
A marvelously entertaining film filled with surprises. Draco (voiced by Sean Connery) is quite awesome and kind of funny.
Dumb and Dumber
PG-13
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels work extremely well together in this hilarious story of two dim bulbs who unwittingly become involved in a high-stakes kidnapping scheme. It's all low humour - with plenty of time for the toilet.
Drowning Mona
PG-13
This dark, tasteless, and cynical comedy is funny as hell, although the suggestively violent segments may repel mainstream viewers. It's a warped murder mystery involving a roster of nitwit suspects so hilariously feeble-minded that they can't help but look guilty... particularly since everybody in the entire hamlet of Verplanck, New York, loathed the victim. Peter Steinfeld aptly calls his script a "white-trash Murder on the Orient Express."

1.
The Fugitive
PG-13
I love that movie as Harrison Ford is fantastic as his character on the run. I watched that movie more than 50 times.
2.
Spider-Man
PG-13
I am a very fan of Marvel's superhero and loved that movie better than late 1970's TV series.
3.
From Dusk Till Dawn
R
The best and all-my-favourite Robert Rodrigeuz film ever made. I like vampires & hunters in battle and hot strippers.
4.
Where Eagles Dare
PG
This is all-my favourite WWII / thriller movie of Alister MacLean's story when I first read the novel before this. Clint Eastwood was great in his largest hit film of 1960s.
5.
Liar Liar
PG-13
Jim Carrey was fantastic on his acting in that best comedy movie. I couldn't stop laughing when I watch it again.
6.
Hard Boiled
R
One of the most outrageous John Woo movies. It's like a Die Hard hosptial and Chow Yun-Fat's superb.

V for Vendetta
by Jiaqi An elaborate work of genius built on the roots of Alan Moore's brilliant graphic novel, it leaps from scene one, to deliver a staccato of heart racing action sequences (intentionally unrealistic but breathtaking~ almost Matrix like...cough) inter-weaved amidst a engrossing and exquisitely designed and acted storyline (credit to Moore and the Wachowski brothers) which kept me in constant suspense, uncertainty and wonder. Portman, limitlessly talented, is startlingly raw and believable. Similarly, V (an entrancingly layered and interesting hero/terrorist) is portrayed equally as brilliantly by Weaving, without suffering at all from the lack of facial expression (in fact accentuated by this aspect). The unconventional and startlingly conclusion (We never truly come to know V, physically and psychologically) is an indication of the magnificence of the film, which, elucidated by the brilliant ending, is overall, thoroughly empowering and emphatic, especially in a post 9/11, post 1984 (which it is undoubtedly similar to) era where the boundaries between good and evil, freedom and slavery are most definitely blurred.
A must see, to be considered, absorbed and appreciated.its a masterpiece, enjoy!

You Don't Mess with the Zohan
by LisaAdam Sandler has finally achieved his apparent goal of worst film he has ever made. Slowly but surely his films have gotten worse. This one really does hit the bottom. I was really shocked when I started watching it, at just how terrible and unfunny the whole thing was. The plot was obviously predictable right from the very beginning. Sandler's performance just seemed forced and very over the top in parts. The rest of the cast were annoying. The only part of the whole film that actually made me laugh was when he was banging the old women in the next room and the bottles were falling off the selves behind behind Alec Mapa's character but it was more the reaction on his face that made the scene funny rather than anything else. Not a film I would recommend. A complete mess that should be avoided at all costs.
A warning, not a recommendation.

Dragon Ball Z: Frieza
by Gee StevenThis movie showcases how Goku fights Frieza as Namek is about to blow up. The filler pretty much makes the battle more intense and exciting. This fight scene is truly spectacular, and not one to be missed.

Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Dyna
by Gee StevenIf you like giant monster movies, you will like this. Ultraman Dyna is faced with the threat of the Monera, an alien race that has somehow possessed the Earth's greatest weapon. This movie is only barely feature length, and somehow manages to drag despite being that short, but the special effects and fights are fun.

Sex and the City: The Movie
by JaniceFirst of all, I have to admit that S&TC is a horribly boring show. So it was awkward for me to take the decision to go out and see this. Now recently, since I've been discovering the chick lit genre, I thought "Hmmm, Sex and The City sounds like a fun movie". And it was.
For starters, it's a happy-go-lucky film. Definitely not meant to be viewed with an overly critical eye nor a predisposition to not liking the film. If you can't handle the often times ditzy characters and overflowing closets, PLEASE, for the love of god, DON'T see this. You'll just ruin everyone else's fun! Other than that, I can truly say that I walked in the movie theatre to see Sex and The City expecting to see S&TC and nothing else. My mind was set on recreational mode. And boy was it served!
The first 10 minutes were so stupid and superficial that I almost regretted walking in to see this. But then things got serious. Dun dun dun, things aren't so perfect for the S&TC girls anymore!
And that's how Sex and The City was saved from being another stupid film. IT HAS DRAMA, PEOPLE! Halleluiah!
Now of course, don't expect tears but still - it was poignant... And I was instantly hooked in the movie after only a mere 30 minutes (of a 2h24mins movie). WooHoo!
Now the acting was mediocre. As a flixster friend of mine, Inez, said: "the cast is too comfortable to act in a silver screen, maybe they forgot that they were filming for a movie for consumptions in cinema". And I thought she was 100% right. Read her review if you can, you'll understand!
And since I attach a lot of importance to endings, I must say that S&TC's ending is genuinely perfect. It's amazing how an ending can totally change my opinion of a movie, and S&TC's ending is SO worth one istar. Cliché and predictable but hey, it's S&TC remember?
Give Sex and The City a chance. Deep down, I'm pretty sure you want to see it ;)You just might wanna give it a try sometime

Ghost World
by JaniceThe reason I love Ghost World so much is because it combines everything I like the most seeing in a movie. It has dorky yet attaching characters, a quirky storyline, weird music, "retro-ness", humour paired with drama and an amazing graphic novel to back it up... not that the graphic novel changes my opinion of the film much (but it did incite me to embark on a crazy graphic novel shopping spree that lasted a week).
Ghost World was, for me, an instant personal favorite. It's just so... real. The adolescence crises, the way people can't face reality and often shut themselves out from things that would normally be seen as immoral and even love in its most complex form.
Scarlett Johansson and Thora Birch both give amazing performances and fit their roles perfectly. Especially Thora Birch. Seriously, the girl was born to play Enid! And Steve Buscemi? He's a god. 'Nuff said.
P.S. Watch out for Dave Sheridan and his pepperoni sticks. That had me crying with laughter!Hey, you should really see this!
And if you enjoy it as much as I did, I strongly suggest that you get the graphic novel. It's a grrrreat read, honestly!posted 1 day ago -

Fire Birds
by DeanAt last!!! I have been trying to remember the name of this film and find it for ages! Known as Wings of the Apache in the UK. This is basically Top Gun with the Apache gunship helicopter...I didn't even realize at the time Nicholas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones were in this! Must have have been a long time ago when I saw it, but it has some great action scenes. Well worth checking out!
