| Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - PG | Another good edition in the series, but still lacking a lot of action for the long running time. It does also, despite the length, only feel like half a film. There are some funny moments and it continues in the dark setting of the last few films. Hopefully the next part will be even better. | December 28, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) - PG | Another great Ice age film with plenty of new characters. Just as good as the first two films and I liked it slightly more than the second. Great to see some dinosaur characters. Plenty of funny moments and great detailed animation work. | December 27, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Zombies Zombies Zombies - Unrated |
Oh dear, doesn't get much worse than this. The whole production is awful. The acting is terrible, awful script. Effects were not even up to a shoe string budget! Avoid, avoid, avoid! |

| Wrestlemaniac (El Mascarado Massacre) - Unrated | One of those low budget horror films that almost feels like it could have been made in the early 80's. Very cheesey, quite funny in a way. It could almost fit the it's so bad it's good category. One for the low budget horror fan. | December 22, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Harry Brown - Unrated | December 21, 2009 | N/A | ||||

| The Twilight Saga: New Moon - PG-13 | December 21, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Avatar - PG-13 | December 21, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Disclosure - R | A sort of thriller as an old flame comes back to accuse Michael Douglas character of sexual harassment. Then it gets tied up in corporate politics and legal proceedings. Not bad overall but looking a little didn't and a bit long for a film of this type. | December 21, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Traitor - PG-13 | A good action thriller that seems to have gone under the radar? A great cast, with a good story that will keep you guessing. Feels similar to the likes of the Siege, Body of lies etc due to the main themes in the story. The action scenes are very good. So if you enjoy a well made action/thriller this deserves a wider audience. | December 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Dead Snow (Død snø) - Unrated | A pretty decent low budget Norwegian horror film. Slightly tongue in cheek humour as well, very gory in places. A bit slow to start but the climax towards the end is great from such a little production. A perfect winter horror for zombie, gore fans! | December 18, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Escapist - Unrated | A pretty good Prison escape action film. Brian Cox is a very good actor, simple story done quite well. Might not be for everyone. It has quite a few flashbacks from present to past, and is a bit slow at times. However it's good seeing how it all unravels. | December 15, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Striking Distance - R | A very good action thriller as a cop thinks another cop might be a serial killer. Plenty of good action scenes, and twists guessing the killer. A very strong cast line up as well. If you've not seen this it's worth checking out! | December 14, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Perfect Creature - R | I really thought I would like this. It has a good idea for a story with a vampire race living along side humans in an alternate world. That was one of the let downs as the alternate world is like a mish mash of Victorian times mixed with 60's technology, steam powered cars? Why this setting? Could have been a lot better along the line of Underworld, Equilibrium.....but falls way short. | December 13, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Twilight - PG-13 | Finally got round to seeing this. A good film well done on a big budget. A teen romance film with a Vampire twist. Didn't have as much action as I was expecting but the special effects are pretty good. Hopefully the second film just out will take it up a couple of levels. | December 12, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Uninvited - PG-13 | At last a very good suspenseful thriller in a similar mould to What lies beneath, The Number 23, Secret window. I wouldn't put this in the horror category although it has a few jumps along the way. A take on of a Korean film called A tale of two sisters. I really enjoyed this and thought it was a well made film with a good cast. It has a nice twist towards the end, although suspicious minds might make it out? Overall a very enjoyable film. If you like this type of thriller go see it soon! | December 11, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Watchmen - R | I have to say I knew nothing of the Watchmen graphic novel before seeing the film. Overall it's a very interesting film with a good, dark and violent story. This has more in common with Sin city than Superman if you are not sure what to expect. Yes it's slightly long at two and a half hours but the visuals are great, very good SFX, cool fight scenes and a great soundtrack. I just wished it covered a bit more about how each of them got their powers for those not knowing any back story to it. Still a kick ass film for adults. | December 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Surveillance - R | A pretty decent straight to DVD thriller with a familiar cast. It's quite entertaining but really relies on the twist, which is good but most film fans will probably work out early on. Still a nice change from the norm. | December 7, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Twilight - R | A decent slow paced thriller, more of a detective story really. It has a great cast Gene Hackman, Susan Sarandon, Paul Newman and a very early, memorable role for Reese Witherspoon. If you like detective stories and a plot with a slight twist you might like this, but it could do with a bit more action at least. It seems to have slipped by most people but it's worth a watch if it's on. | December 5, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Employee of the Month - PG-13 | Easy going, fun, light hearted comedy set in a huge super size shop! Quite a good setting for a comedy and it has some good cheesey laughs! | December 1, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Quarantine - R | A really great horror film, made apparently just months after the Spanish original Rec. What I don't understand is so many people saying this is not as good? It's almost the same film scene for scene, but with a different cast and set in LA. Only changes from the original are a few more attacks and the origin of the virus was changed slightly. The only real problem if you have seen the original first is you know what is coming and when second time round so less scary. Otherwise almost a carbon copy of the original but in English. Watch out for Rec2! | December 1, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Bride of Chucky - R | Really surprised at so many high ratings for this? It has turned into a comedy now and almost makes fun of its self in the process. Definitely not scary, not that many kills or gore in this one either. One for fans really, I enjoyed the first one the most. This is maybe the 3rd best of the first four films, but it is the funniest. | November 29, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Undisputed - R | A very solid boxing film set in prison. Almost seems to be aimed at one World heavy weight champ in the real world! The boxing scenes are done very well, but the build up isn't as good as say the better Rocky films. Not a bad effort and worth watching when it's on. | November 29, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Doghouse - Unrated | A so-so horror comedy with a good array of UK acting talent on show. Ok in parts has some funny scenes and quite gory to in places. Overall just not quite as polished as Severance, Shaun of the dead. One mainly for the guys. | November 27, 2009 | N/A |
