| All About Eve - Unrated | One of my favorite movies..and for good reason. Featuring one of the greatest scripts I have ever seen, and one of cinema's greatest performances by Bette Davis, this witty film is a rarity in that I can watch it countless times and never tire of it. Lines from All About Eve have become part of my daily language. | February 3, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte - Unrated | A horror classic that still holds up to this day, thanks to great performances. Havilland is great as the scheming cousin and Davis steals the show as the deranged Charlotte. | December 30, 2007 | N/A | |||
| What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? - Unrated | A great film. Considered "campy" by some, but it's actually well-made. Also interesting to see the on-screen feud between Davis and Crawford (long time enemies). Crawford gives a passable performance, but Davis steals the show (like every other film shes in). | December 30, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Sunset Boulevard (Sunset Blvd.) - Unrated | A flawless American classic. Gloria Swanson's performance is amazing..and yes..this movie has two of the most quoted move lines in cinema history..you should know them by now. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Sicko - PG-13 | Yes, America's health care system is fucked and yes we Americans know it; but watching this movie and seeing how far it goes may surprise and shock you. This is a great movie though. It's funny, sad, and thought provoking. This should be required viewing for all American citizens. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Transformers - PG-13 | Entertaining and action packed. Movies like this make going to the theaters fun. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Dead Silence - R | Quite a disappointment. Coming from James Wan, director of Saw, I had high hopes for this movie but it ultimately let me down. The movie was fairly interesting in spots though, had good atmosphere, and I liked the use of the silence mechanic. Other than that though, nothing special and just another bland, run-of-the-mill horror film. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| The Simpsons Movie - PG-13 | Good, but a bit of a disappointment. Yes, it's funny, but some of the sharp wit the show had seemed to be missing in this movie. If you are a fan of the show though, it's still recommended. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| The Host (Gwoemul) - R | In simplest terms, a Korean monster movie, but calling it that wouldn't do it justice. This movie successfully combines elements of family drama, horror, politics, and comedy. It almost feels like a cross between great monster movies like Jaws and dysfunctional family dramas like Little Miss Sunshine. As inspired as it may be though, the movie is still quite original. I would definitely recommend this movie because it is a rare thing: a horror movie with heart. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) - R | Quite possibly the best movie of the past decade. Excels in every way possible: acting, cinematography, script, score, directing. As close to perfection as a movie can get. | August 3, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Fiddler on the Roof - G | Not only my favorite musical, but one of my favorite movies ever. Great cinematography, story, script, acting by Topol, songs, and dancing. One of the few 3 hour movies I can watch over and over. | March 9, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Little Miss Sunshine - R | A charming and funny gem about a dysfunctional family. Movies like this show why little independent films are better than the majority of big budget films. The movie was moving, feel good, yet twisted at the same time. Abigail Breslin was great; she really shined [no pun intended] in this movie. The writing was excellent and the ending was simple yet great. In a world of remakes, sequels, and uninspired crap its always nice to see a little gem like this one. | February 5, 2007 | N/A | |||
| Jackass: Number Two - R | December 30, 2006 | N/A | ||||
| The Black Dahlia - R | December 30, 2006 | N/A | ||||
| Black Christmas - R | Yet another reason why Hollywood is a bunch of b/s: remaking one of the greatest and most influential horror movies of all time. I will no doubt see it, however, just to make fun of it. | December 25, 2006 | N/A | |||
| Black Christmas - R | Easily the best slasher of all time and probably the best horror film of all time. This film predates Halloween (which is credited with starting the slasher genre) by 4 years and is actually better. This movie is very creepy and scary. This movie doesn't rely on gore, but on scares and atmosphere. Many people have never even heard of this movie or given it the credit it deserves. Black Christmas is the definition of a cult classic. | December 21, 2006 | N/A | |||
| Ugetsu monogatari - Unrated |
Unbelievable how great this movie is. It is at the same time a drama, war movie, period film, ghost story, and love story.
The great Machiko Kyo gives a phenomenal performance in this movie (and so does the rest of the cast). Its sad that this movie is unknown and unwatched by virtually everyone. The most beautiful film ever made, this movie should be seen by EVERYONE who claims to be a movie lover. |

| High Tension (Switchblade Romance) - R | Raw, brutal, violent, gory, tense-what a horror movie should be. Many people don't' like the ending, but personally I love it. | November 3, 2006 | N/A | |||
| Thirteen - R | November 3, 2006 | N/A |
