The Day After Tomorrow
PG-13
Cool scenario and some spectacular scenes and special effects. But aside from that its independence day and godzilla all over again. Sadly not to exciting. A day after tomorrow 2 would be more interresting. How will mankind survive another iceage!
Okuribito (Departures)
PG-13
Nothing is more sad and yet so beatiful as a funeral. Something that this movie depicts in a touching, slow-paced way. A film about loss, loneliness, taking pride in ones work, and of course about love. Very beautifull love story even thou its not in center of the plotline. Bonus is also the cello soundtrack and stunning Japanees landscape.

Probably the best monoly/dialog in a movie ever perfected with the sounds of dust brothers ambient-electro. A movie that tackles the question of life and what its all about. And with superb actors like Pitt and Norton! It wouldnt need the twist in the end to be one of the best films ever, but why not. I actually watched this movie twice the first time beacuse it was so awesome

Richard kelly is hands-down one of the greatest directors to date. And that with only three films under his belt. Donnie Darko is his jewel in the crown. It delivers a wonderful dreamlike feeling with its philosofy about time-travels and mysticism. The soundtrack is out of this world, The composed music is hauntingly beautiful and the choose songs are perfect for the 80s feeling. I can go on forever but i have other flix to reviev. Just see it!
