Troy - R I absolutely LOVE this movie! It's been a while since I've seen it, but I can remember that it's amazing. Definitely in my favorite movies list! A bit of blood and gore in parts, but i used to love those kind of movies, another great reason for me to love this movie and for you to see it - amazing acting and actors in this movie! This movie really got me into Brad Pitt, and Eric Bana just made it even better! Another great movie with Orlando Bloom - there's no stopping this guy! April 29, 2008

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - PG-13 A lot better than I expected for sure! Before seeing this I was not interested in Harry Potter at all, I used to love it, but I started to think it was a bit stupid.
But, I am VERY glad I saw this! My friend is obsessed, and I'm glad she convinced me to go with her and see it. It?s if not the most, one of the most successful series in film history. And this movie got me back in to the 'HP buzz'. The fighting scene at the end with Voldemort and Dumbeldore was way cool! I wish it went for longer.

Although it was a while ago that I read the book, it was clear that they cut out a LOT of stuff from the book. Order of the Pheonix is the longest book, but the shortest film out of the series. Daniel, Emma and Rupert are getting old, definitely noticeable, soon they will be looking way old to play their characters, buut the films just wouldn't be the same without them.

Two thumbs right up!

Stranger Than Fiction - PG-13 I really liked this movie!
I was surprised, just from looking at it and reading the synopsis it seems like its going to be a dull, boring movie! But its not, infact, it's the complete opposite!

Ok, so this movie is pretty hard to follow in my opinion. I'll just say basically what it's about.
So the movie is all about a man called Harold Crick. He is ... well ... a normal guy I guess. Until he starts hearing his life narrated by an unfamiliar female voice. First he doesn't think much of it, but it keeps happening every time he does ... something!
He soon discovers the secrets of his life from the voice and finds out about his eventual death ... so Harold Crick has to find the narrator (the author) before its too late and the story is finished.

Will Ferrel was just pretty much himself in this movie, and in my opinion he was exactly the perfect person to be Harrlod Crick. Emma Thompson was great. I never really knew who she was before this movie, but seriously she is great and ill look forward to seeing other movies with her. Great voice for the narrating. Other stand out performances by Dustin Hoffman (perfect for his role) and I guess Queen Latifa aswell.

If not for a few minor things that I disliked about this movie, it could have got the full 5 stars, but perhaps even a second viewing might top my rating. It's funny, entertaining, romantic and full of drama. A must see movie and I sure would love to see it again sometime!

There's Something About Mary - R This would have to go up there in my 'Funniest films of all time' movie list. Because truly, it is HILLARIOUS! Ben Stiller.. Matt Dillon, Cameron Diaz...... All of them make this movie unforgettable! April 29, 2008

Ocean's Thirteen - PG-13 I was expecting a bit more from this movie; I wanted to see it in Cinemas but never got around to it. So I was waiting for ages to see it, so I got it as soon as it came out on DVD here.

Other people have said different things about this film - some people loved it, some hated it. The idea of having a third one was fantastic to me, seeing heaps of my favorite actors together again. I still liked (loved) the first one the best, its the most original and yet the best. Maybe this one just didn't have enough action for my liking? I can't really pin-point what it is that makes this one my least favorite of the 'ocean's' series of movies.

Actually when I think about it this one was quite original. I liked it because you didn't really think, it was visually appealing so that you didn't have to listen to every detail to figure out what was going on in this movie. That's a good thing, and really the story was great. I loved the whole Vegas and Casino thing, some of the footage of it was spectacular. And although the others are quite serious when you think about it, this one had a funny side to it, heaps of hilarious ideas came into this movie which made it more entertaining to watch.

The acting was okay-ish. Nothing special, I mean there was an all-star cast to this movie but each character didn't really have a huge part therefore I didn't really connect to the characters as much as you can in the others. It was cool to see Al Pacino as the bad guy though, I felt he did that part to perfection.

I am by no means saying this was crap and not to see it, but I was expecting it to be the best of the series and it wasn't. But still, you should really go and see this movie if you haven't already and you loved the others, this has many things in common with them. But if you didn't like the others, maybe you should give this a miss.

Big Fish - PG-13 I think that when I first saw this, when I was a lot younger, I didn?t really appreciate it as much. But seeing it again gave me a whole different view on this movie and how unique it is.. this is truly one of the best films ever made, an incredible story, brilliant directing and a great cast. A Knight's Tale - PG-13 One of the best films ever made, purely because it is one of the most enjoyable and entertaining films to watch. This was one of the first films, if not the first, of Heath Ledger's movies that I saw. After this movie I completely fell in love with him and his movies, If you ever want to find out what a great actor he is then this is the perfect example. This movie has it all - action, comedy, romance and an all-star cast. 5 stars, 10/10, 100% brilliant! April 29, 2008

Edward Scissorhands - PG-13 This just proves that Johnny Depp and Tim Burton make the most amazing films together. This movie is so sad, wonderful, touching, beautiful... and just perfect. Johnny Depp was so cute and adorable as Edward Scissorhands. This is one of the sweetest and most heartwarming films ever made; I get the greatest feeling every time I watch it. A true masterpiece that will be remembered for years to come. It's no surprise that this is my second favorite movie of all time. April 29, 2008

The Shawshank Redemption - R This movie is absolutely amazing! I would give it 10 stars if i could! The story is very powerful and unlike any other that I have seen before. Watching this should make you feel sad, but the ending leaves you with a really nice feeling. It really is all about hope, redemption and freedom. The cast were perfect for their roles, especially the two main characters played by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Overall this is one of the best movies I have ever seen! Definitely one of my faves! April 29, 2008

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl - PG-13 Absolutely perfect in every possible way. This is easily my favorite of the series, introducing the best character ever created - Captain Jack Sparrow. It's got comedy, action, adventure, romance and Johnny Depp! The perfect film with an amazing cast and truly unique and original storyline. Jack Sparrow has become like an icon for Johnny Depp, he will always be remembered as the greatest, wildest and most charming pirate ever to make it in a movie. Anyone who hasn't seen this must be crazy! April 29, 2008
