Hey, you should really see this! It's nothing mind-blowing but it is a fun little flick that's worth checking out. The dialogue will keep you engaged enough for an enjoyable time.

Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant have a great deal of chemistry and this makes their budding relationship feel realistic and sweet; this is a comedy strictly for the ladies..in other words yeah it is a chick -flick in every sense of the word.

The music featured is great, very 80's. Hugh's bumping and grinding reminds me of Mick Jagger lol. Music and Lyrics has an enormous amount of depth and a surprising amount of humor and with its witty, funny and honest dialogue, it's like a breath of fresh air. The song "Pop goes my Heart" I still can't get it out of my head.

No Violence, No Sex, No Nudity, No Offensive Language! Oohhh! I think the guys are gonna run screaming in the opposite direction but seriously, it's very sweet and nice and you should watch it. I'm sure you'll love it.

Hey, you should really see this! A wonderful gothic trip in a strange and beautiful world.

I like Tim Burton and I love Johnny Depp. This movie had the right amount of suspense, horror, comedy, romance and mystery. Johnny Depp is great as Crane and Christina Ricci is quite a quite talented young lady. The rest of the cast is also excellent, including a charismatic Christopher Walken as the Hessian Horseman and a brief appearance by horror legend Christopher Lee.

The Gothic-like atmosphere was superb. My personal favorite was at the end, when Depp tells Ricci: "This is New York, and you'll get accustomed to it very quickly!!"

The explosions were spectacular, the stunts breathtaking, and the gadgets were impressive. One thing that kept my interest throughout: There's a hacker involved.

Hugh Jackman did some good stuff in this movie, but when you think about the incredible persona he exuded in X-Men, I'm left at a loss for words. Travolta is always at his best when playing a psychotic lunatic and Halle Berry makes an excellent piece of eye candy and the movie makes absolutely no apologies for her showing a lot of skin.

This movie had everything; action, drama, boobs, tequilla shots and blowjobs but the storyline, I felt, was under developed but I still think you'll have a swell time watching this one.

    A love quadrangle lol.
    Married Life Married Life
    by Deb
Chris Cooper stars as a discontented rich married guy who thinks he has found true love in the young hot widow played by Rachel McAdams. He plots to kill his wife which is, of course, less painful rather than make her suffer the trauma of a divorce....duhhh??? Patricia Clarkson was effective as the betraying and betrayed wife. Great narration by Pierce Brosnan who is best friends with Cooper and yet finds himself strangely attracted to McAdams himself. Without disclosing too much, I'd say it's kind of a darker "Closer". Life is never simple. Especially married life!

The film did have the great look of 40's films with terrific period costuming, great lighting and the sets and props were amazingly accurate but I guess I was expecting a more dramatic thrilling ending.

    The Patriot The Patriot
    by Deb
The story starts with Mel Gibson, a hero in the French and Indian War now a peaceful farmer ("I won't fight - don't ask me!) He is haunted by the ghosts of his violent past and reluctant to fight the British. "The Patriot" is about the struggle and determination of Americans to gain freedom and liberty and fight against the Red-Coated oppressors!

Gibson is a fine actor on screen and excellent as the tortured main character and most of the cast are very good. Jason Isaacs plays the villain with great relish. Heath Ledger has a brief appearance as Gibson's son. This movie had amazing cinematography and totally American in its attitudes of family, loyalty, true honor and faith. Beware that this movie is rated R for good reasons. The battle scenes can get quite bloody and were exceptionally brutal, which must be typical of combat situations throughout the ages.

However, when historical films are made, inaccuracy seems inevitable. Here the British redcoats shoot wounded soldiers, burn down houses, kill people even to the point of barring them in a church and burning it, which is disturbing but not undisputed. However, considering that the Americans weren't as innocent as they were shown in the film, isn't this rather hypocritical and overly manipulative of the makers? (a'rite..just my personal opinion...I'm as patriotic as everyone else but I took off my rose tinted glasses a long time ago!)

The treatment of slavery in this movie is totally idealistic and has nothing to do with reality. Hello? Which planet are you on? Do you honestly expect us to believe that any African-American today is going to be glad that they were shown to be quite content with their enforced transportation and slavery in the good ol' US of A?

Either way, I'd recommend this to anyone who appreciates the genre of historical drama and a desire to be entertained. So go see it and then read a good history book afterwards!

Cuba Gooding, Jr. is a guy going through relationship problems and Horatio Sanz is his obnoxious, oversexed best pal who is trying to go away on a singles cruise hoping to get laid. They end up insulting their travel agent (cameo by Will Farrell) who sends them on a gay cruise out of spite.

Gorgeous Puerto Rican Beauty Roselyn Sanchez and the Swedish Sun Tanning Bikini team provide the much needed eye-candy to keep the interest of the males viewing.

Roger Moore plays the British sophisticate interested in having Sanz take a bite of his sausage. I have nothing against the gay community, but Roger Moore as an ancient "queen? is outrageous.

Don't expect much in the way of story-line-- yes, it may be a bit stupid, vulgar, crude and corny at times, but stupid can be funny as well. What do you expect? It is a comedy so feel free to laugh out loud! It's a good movie to rent with your buddies if you like sunbathing, gay jokes, sexual innuendos and a risqué banana scene with Roselyn Sanchez showing Cuba how she can play, lick, nibble and kiss the lucky banana.

Hey, you should really see this! Recommended for all you action junkies and of course fans of the Punisher.
    The Punisher The Punisher
    by Deb
The plot is an awesome revenge story and Thomas Jane does a fantastic job of bringing the character of Frank Castle to life giving one hell of a performance. He is an angel of death, a true vigilante, a stone cold reminder of what happens when you screw with the wrong guy. He is vicious, clever, and very much emotionally tormented in his pursuit to punish the man who had his family assassinated. John Travolta also delivered a great performance as Howard Saint, the villain. Too bad his wife who is equally evil (she was the one who ordered hit on Castle's family) has him wrapped around her little finger. I also liked Will Patton in this film, very chilling look with his shades on.

My favorite scene in the film was of course the violent and intense fight between the Punisher and the Russian. It was brilliantly AWESOME, very brutal, and I enjoyed the soundtrack which was a nice mix of classical and modern thrown in and metal always goes well with the fight scenes. X-Men's Rebecca Romijin co-stars as the lovely waitress who befriends Frank along with a skinny computer nerd (Ben Foster) and a fat guy, Bumbo (John Pinette). The part where computer nerd is getting his piercings pulled out is just disturbing.

The Punisher is a tense, exciting and explosive action packed movie with grand scale epic violence that pulls no punches and captures the same dark atmosphere of the Punisher comics.

This is the type of movie that makes one think about a lot of things including life, the choices you make and for me, an appreciation of what you have.

In this movie, similarly Cage is forced to confront his missed opportunities and failed dreams which is pretty realistic for anybody who's ever wondered "what could have been"? Nicolas Cage plays a successful businessman who gets a peek at what his life might have been like had he married his college sweetheart. Tea Leoni enhanced the emotional mood of film with a tender, yet enthusiastic performance. Mackenzie Vega as Annie the daughter is cute as a button and her scenes with Nic Cage are just adorable.

    Fatal Instinct Fatal Instinct
    by Deb
"Fatal Instinct" is another very funny spoof that pokes fun at many thrillers including yeah you guessed it, "Basic Instinct" and "Fatal Attraction". Armand Assante was surprisingly good in this comedy and plays Ned Ravine, a cop and a lawyer. He has only lost one case--Max Shady and, now that he is about to be released, he wants revenge. He is also so dense that he doesn't realize his unfaithful wife Lana (Kate Nelligan) is cheating on him with Frank, the mechanic. While this is happening a blonde femme fatale (Sean Young) will stop at nothing to ruin his marriage. Sherilyn Fenn plays his attractive and loyal secretary....

Entertaining enough comedy along the lines of "Airplane" and "Naked Gun" with enough sexual innuendos and overt sexuality that had me laughing thru out.
