There aren't any really big laughs, and the comedy sometimes is too forced, but there are plenty of chuckles and incredible chemistry between the two lead stars; incredible because I never would've expected there to be any.

I was only first interested in this film because of a reference on Arrested Development's "The Ocean Walker" episode, but was not surprised to find a very funny and very, very lovely story. This will always be my favorite Peter Sellers performance ever.
Die Fälscher (The Counterfeiters) Die Fälscher (The Counterfeiters) R 3.5 Stars
A very interesting film, though I wish some characters would've had more presence in the story and background. Still, remains an engaging story worth watching.
The Incredible Hulk The Incredible Hulk PG-13 2.5 Stars
I'll gladly stay with the 2003 version, thank you. The cast was great, it's just that the characters were dull and the story felt as generic as a dollar store. The effects were nice, but the action sequences didn't excite me much.
Kung Fu Panda Kung Fu Panda PG 3.0 Stars
Decent action/fight sequences, solid animation, more laughs than I expected (even for being dubbed by Omar Chaparro in Spanish) and I like the way they made some of the clichés work. In the very end, though, I couldn't have cared less about anything in the film.

The funniest, sweetest, most touching and relatable film ever made! Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort have incredibly good chemistry together and make these characters come to life as no one else could have possibly done. Cat Stevens music also elevates every scene.

Pre-Lord of the Rings Peter Jackson delivers his most inspired film to date without the excessive use of technology. Instead, he uses a solid script to provoke feelings of love, friendship and ultimately madness.

This film has had a long-lasting impact on myself and my life. I can't even start describing how perfect I think it is. Of course, this is all very subjective and comes from very personal reasons.

The most fascinating and in-depth study on human behavior and trauma I have ever seen. Completely relatable, touching, heartwarming and twisted. Angela Bettis delivers an outstanding and heartbreaking performance that should not be missed by anyone.

Perfect ensemble piece under the hands of one of the most gifted and promising directors to come. Stunning and beautiful, emotional and heart-breaking.

I have never seen the television show for which this is based, so I had no real preconceptions besides what I saw in the trailers. So, for me, Get Smart was a pleasant surprise :D
It was full of laughs and Steve Carell played a really funny Agent 86...Highly recommended.

Once this hellishly intense 75-minute Spanish horror takes off, it is mind-blowing experience. Shot in High-Definition with only one camera and one microphone, it presents us events in a form of a rough cut of TV reportage, just like in a episode of a reality show, and it is often geniuely brilliant in its disturbing realism. Forget the conceptual resemblance to "Blair Witch Project". Nevermind the story. It's a pretext, it's all about "how", not "what" here. The concept of the way it is shot, with natural lighting and a sound of limited range might've been good for nothing, if everything wasn't very well-thought through and superbly acted.

I always thought that they are the masses who produce the most sick needs, not the TV producers. Sure, they're cynical and ruthless in their greed to make as much money as they can and but one always have a choice. And all it really takes is to push OFF on TV remoter. Many circuses, in a tune of a "Big Brother" had no option than to be shut down if that button did get pushed more frequently than it was. But compulsion to voyeur rather than to do is constantly growing, because doing means responsibility. Once you know that you would rather want to watch some tasty blonde on a shower on a screen than to create situation in which you could watch her in reality, you can be damn sure you're a case to consider.

"[rec]" is the product of that kind of voyerism, only it is a fiction that creates a perfect illusion of reality-- let you watch gruesome violence and sheer terror from a safe position, wanting to experience the extreme but at the same time have your body intact and once it's done, go to the kitchen and grab a bite of a cheese cake and push it with a hit of a nice hot coffee. Being a reaction to today's voyerism, in the most brutal form to date, it shows how low we've become in indulging our senses, letting ourselves being provided with something as strong as this, when you'd often - disturbed out of your mind - want to question that it is fiction.

"[rec]" is a first true horror of 21th century. For better, or for worse.
Americans already cooked up and remake, but you would want to watch the original one.

This film definately speaks of an era that thankfully (socially speaking) is long gone.

It felt to me that they just wanted to make a simple horror film (for its time this is not a bad one), but that concidering we were in the middle of a war they felt that the only way they could justify so trivial and endeavor was to tag on some ridiculous Nazi sub plot.

Oddly enough the ridiculous racial stereotypes that permeate the film were not a problem for anyone at the time. While certain "sight gags" were amusing, the racial aspects of the film were almost too cartoonish to be truly offensive, but a little distrubing none the less.
If you enjoy chessy "old school" horror, this one is kind of fun.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
    4.0 Stars by Fabio
If you're expecting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to be a fourth in the series, you'll be disappointed. The original three were set in the 1930s, looking for buried treasure in a Treasure of the Sierra Madre style. The new film is set in the 1950s, and that changes everything.
The film itself is well written, and well made with only a few exceptions.
some of the animation and action sequences seemed too difficult to believe (even for an Indy film) like the monkey-rope scene.
The only thing that I hate the most is Shia LaBeouf dressed like Marlon Brando in "the wild one"..I can't accept that!

Films with themes of homosexuality shouldn't always be about coming out of the closet and falling in love; they should also be something more than that and that's what Rainer Werner Fassbinder does in this masterpiece. The film is more about social class than about sexuality. The ending is very tragic, and I can't help but feel sorry for Fox who just tried to be loving and devoted to his boyfriend but ended up being naive and fooled.

    Human Nature Human Nature
    4.0 Stars by Félix
A more than interesting debut by director Michel Gondry. A satire about, well, human nature. A joke on humanity. A spoof on love and sex (mostly sex) and a comedy about our deepest insticts and the best (and worst) ways to supress them.

Visually, it's not as engaging as other Gondry movies and the screenplay isn't as "dreamy" and oniric as other Kaufman works but the extraordinary performances and the wicked sense of humour create a completely unique and mesmerizing film that, funny enough, it's not as "weird" as its synopsis may suggest.

Miranda Otto's character is a dream.
    Nice debut! :)
    For hardcore Kaufman/Gondry/Jonze fans! ;)

The Wild One The Wild One
    3.5 Stars by Fabio
Brando plays Johnny, leader of a motorcycle gang calling itself the Black Rebels, which terrorizes Wrightsville, a little American town.
The gang members release their frustrated emotions by racing, overturning a car, and by vicariously participating in a savage fight between Johnny and Chino (Lee Marvin), formerly a part of Johnny's gang but now a rival club...
Violence escalates when the town forms a vigilante committee, and inevitably there is an accidental killing.Johnny is saved from wrongful arrest by Kathie (Mary Murphy), a local girl who, in spite of herself, falls in love with him.

"The Wild One" introduces the motorcycle as the symbol of youth rebellion.
    An influential classic.
