Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - PG-13 NOT a teen aged chick flick fan...but this movie was as hysterical a romance movie with scenes from Mid town Manhattan(NYC) that almost made me homesick. LOL! Loved the way Nick and Norah hooked up despite their moderate differences. Their common ground for music drew them closer together which is what made this movie for me so cool to watch and enjoy. The old adage...opposites attract is what made this movie magic for me. See it! November 30, 2009

Australia - PG-13 A pretty long denial of each other and denial of romance in this drawn out flick about two people from two different lifestyles and worlds that come together for a common cause...what they went through when the Japanese infiltrated their world is extremely suspenseful. Pretty good but expected more on a shorter span of time. It is a good watch worth remembering. November 26, 2009

Imagine That - PG A fun filled re-union with Ronnie Cox from Beverly Hills Cop...Eddie Murphy does whatever it takes to keep his career on track as well as his relationship with his daughter alive through the power if the "goo-gaa"...whatever you do...don't eat the pancakes! Diary of a Tired Black Man - R Conflicting but yet INTERESTING DOCUMENTARY of the daily struggles of a relationship....who's right or wrong depends on the situation that the couple is in....worth seeing if you can put up with the points of view from the public on the different scenarios portrayed... The Proposal - PG-13 One incredible laugh out insanely loud comedy of two co-workers that take their work relationship unexpectedly to a whole different level. The chemistry with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds takes the joy of knowing each other to a whole different level. See this it is a joy! November 14, 2009

Recipe for Disaster - G This is one light hearted comedy that Disney should have picked up but MGM didn't do too bad in bringing to the young families out there in need of a clean simple responsible comedy. See it if you are that type of crowd...in that type of mood. November 14, 2009

Spread - R FINALLY they have a movie where the gigolo is the victim...but this one in the category of endurance of human interest...LOL! How far can he go with what he does kept me paying attention throughout the film. See it if you want but the final scene with what he has a bullfrog do will amaze you...see it! November 14, 2009

Black Book (Zwartboek) - R Awesome...TOTALLY awesome...This is one well paced and totally captivating performance where a woman playing the heroine moves you in so many emotions that you have GOT to see this. Revenge...is a bitter pill to swallow...but tastes so sweet after it is served! Every woman despite your nationality or language background needs to see what this woman (Carice Van Houten) went through to play both sides of the fence to have both sides turn against her is unbelievable! See this then buy it. You will never forget it. October 29, 2009

Law Abiding Citizen - R Hmmm let's seeeeeee: Gerard Butler's ideals:"THE SYSTEM MUST PAY" vs. Jaime Fox's ideals of : "JUSTICE AT ANY COST"... who will win? Bot of today's box office draws brings us to this screening where you will sit at the edge of your seat wondering who will win...whether Jaime will find our who is creating terror around the city while an incarcerated inmate creates threats that are really happening or will Gerard bring the city to a collapse because the justice system refuses to be held accountable for it's actions...this is an emotional roller coaster that holds no bars from begining t the very end...see this! It is incredible! October 24, 2009

Casablanca - PG Being that my eyes are used to seeing color...minus a half a star...LOL! For real though this is a classic flick that needs to be in everyone's collection of movie stash...Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) is an tough as nails owner of a night club has one saying that will always stay in the back of my mind..."I stick my neck out for nobody"...means it until an old flame stops by to see him and his trusted piano player Sam (Dooley Wilson)...this movie is clean, slick and timeless in a classic sense. A fantastic popcorn flick for any occasion! October 23, 2009

The Hidden Blade - R It was hard...very hard to sit still through this Japanese movie based upon honor and the cherish of the concealed and almost lost art of love, between a samurai, and a house servant .... to top it off...a rival swordsman of the star of the show is bound by honor even though his rival is arrested and condemned for a gang affiliation not allowed in the mid 19th century Japan. It is an extremely slow moving but interesting portrayal of loyalty and the code of honor that people in that time era had to keep for order to be maintained. October 19, 2009

Wong Fei-hung chi tit gai dau neung gung (Deadly China Hero) (Claws of Steel) (Last Hero in China) - Unrated Imagine...a FUNNY classic martial Arts flick...breaking people's bones and spinal columns in half are now possible after viewing this hilarious well paced classic kung-fu flick. Jet Li returns as a martial arts instructor and moonlighting as a doctor. (hmmm....same type of theme from Iron Monkey?) Got to have this in your collection because of the RARE type of chinese humor in a martial arts flick! I loved it! October 14, 2009

Ong Bak 2 - R The sequel to Ong Bak can never live up to the expectation of the first one...BUT this was unbelievable. This should have been marked as the PREQUEL not the sequel...The martial arts portrayed is top caliber....and undeniably incredible. As you watch Tony Jaa's rise to power...you also see his need to use what he has acquired for taking on the the revenge for the wrong doers. The ending in this one leaves you hungry for a third installment but you wonder if it is necessary. You have GOT to see this it is in a class by itself. Into the Wild - R At first i didn't want to see it but I had a friend lend it to me after seeing Emile Hirsch on Oprah talking about his role in the movie and also letting us know that it was a true story...I got interested in seeing it. I saw it and let me tell you... I was not disappointed.Making a decision to give up everything you own and take on a bohemian life style of "living off the land" sure has it's price to pay. See it just for the curiosity of it all. October 14, 2009
