I am a friendly and intelligent guy with a good sense of humor (though some say slightly warped) from middle Tennessee.

I'm an avid fan of horror/scifi films, b-monster movies and cult cinema and most things related.

I also love retro-pop culture memorabilia and The Three Stooges. I like hard rock, metal and punk rock music. Some of my favorite artists are KISS, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Lordi, Twisted Sister, The Misfits, The Ramones, AC/DC, Megadeth and Motorhead.

I'm also a big WWE Wrestling fan and I almost never miss Raw or Smackdown. My favorite wrestlers are The Undertaker, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H and Rey Mysterio, Jr.

"Beware the stare of mary shaw

and if you see her in your dreams

make sure you never ever scream

or she'll rip your tongue out

James Wan (the "Saw" films) creates a genuinely creepy little chiller with this old- fashioned ghost story of a curse that plagues the descendants of a small New England town.

"Dead Silence" is a stylish, old-school modern gothic horror thriller with fair amounts of mystery & suspense plus a good story, atmosphere and a few jump out of your seat moments and one of the best twist endings I've seen in a long while in a horror film.

The effects and make-up used in bringing the ghostly ventriloquist, Mary Shaw, and her dolls to life on screen are well done and effectively spooky. And Judith Shaw as the ghostly Mary Shaw is very creepy in her performance.

A highly entertaining 1980s cult movie gem!

Filmmaker John Carpenter directs this action-packed thrill ride of a movie with humor and a touch of fantasy.

Starring Kurt Russell who plays Jack Burton (with tongue in cheek humor & a bit of a John Wayne swagger) a tough talking, macho truck driver who gets dragged into a battle between the forces of good and evil in San Francisco's Chinatown. Involving two rival Chinese gangs, a 2000 year old accursed sorcerer named Lopan, his henchmen (three Chinese demigods called "The Three Storms") who are the embodiments of Wind, Thunder & Lightning and Chinese black magic.

When Jack and a gambling buddy sets out to help save two green-eyed women from a terrible fate at the hands of Lopan. They with the aide of a wise-ass Chinese wizard and a group of Shaolin Monks journey into Lopan's Empire deep beneath the streets of Chinatown. But before facing Lopan and saving the girls, they must face monsters, demons and all sorts of wierdness.

"Big Trouble in Little China" is one of the most fun action/comedies from the 1980s and one of my favorite John Carpenter movies.

    5.0 Stars by Creep
This one is truly horrifying. It's shocking, ugly, depressing and repulsive. This documentary will definitely leave some sort of mark on you and I'm sure you won't be able to shake it off that easily. It's based on the true story of "The West Memphis 3"(Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin), who "supposedly" murdered three young children in the Robin Hood Hills area of West Memphis, Arkansas. They say that Damien Echols, the alleged ringleader, was partially influenced by Death Metal and that he dressed in black clothes and practiced in the Wicca religion. These were just a few subjects that were brought to the people's attention at the trial. The West Memphis 3 still sit in prison till this day and there are many who actually believe that the three defendants were wrongfully convicted at the trial.

Damien Echols was sentenced to death. Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwinwere were sentenced to life in prison.

The Murders at Robin Hood Hills:

"Three eight year old boys(Steve Branch, Christopher Byers, and Michael Moore), were found stripped naked and had been hog-tied with their own shoelaces: their right ankles tied to their right wrists behind their backs, the same with their left limbs. Their clothing was found in the creek, some of it twisted around sticks that had been thrust in the muddy creek bed. The clothing was mostly turned inside-out; two of the boys' underwear was never recovered. All of the boys had been severely beaten about their heads and faces, and Byers further had a fractured skull. Chris Byers had deep lacerations and injuries to his scrotum and penis. The original autopsies were inconclusive as to time of death, but stated that Byers died of blood loss (from either stab wounds or a deep head wound), and the other boys drowned."

You have to watch this documentary and tell me what you think. You might actually think that they're innocent because at the trial there were just so many things that really didn't sound right. Or you might just agree with the courts and believe that justice was well served. You'll know more what I'm talking about when you see this documentary. It's scary. This is real life horror, and it's actually more terrifying then most horror films out there. The good news is that you can watch the whole thing on YouTube. Last time I checked they had the whole documentary in several parts, but be warned, the subject matter in this is disturbing as Hell. Just go to YouTube and type in "Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills"

There is also a sequel to this documentary titled Paradise Lost 2: Revelations.

This isn't one of the best horror movies out there, but it sure is an extremely entertaining well made for television film. I first saw this movie when they premiered it on Showtime around the Halloween season back in 2000. I had heard of this film months before they aired it, which got me even more psyched to see it, and I even did a little research on it. From what I've heard this movie was based on the actual 1949 case of a Maryland boy which inspired "The Exorcist", and everything that I read on the computer showed that this was indeed
true. So for anyone out there who wants to get an idea of what really happened on the actual case, I suggest you go and see this movie.

    The True Story:

"It began in Maryland on the evening of January 15, 1949, when 14-year-old "John Hoffman" and his grandmother heard strange scratching and dripping noises in their house. No explanation could be found for the noises, which stopped after ten days, only to be replaced by mysterious footsteps and drumbeats. After John's Aunt Dorothy suddenly died, the poltergeist-like phenomena increased - with John's mattress shaking violently, food flying through the air and furniture falling over. John and his parents tried to communicate with the poltergeist, which at the time claimed to be the spirit of Aunt Dorothy.

Then, in late February, livid red marks emerged on John's skin, taking the shape of actual words. After neither physicians nor psychiatrists could find anything wrong with John, his parents, although Lutheran, consulted a Roman Catholic priest. His recommendations of prayers and holy water only seemed to aggravate John's condition. John's mother took him to St. Louis, hoping things would calm down. But the manifestations intensified. "Father Lawrence," a Jesuit priest, came to visit John in St. Louis, saying prayers over him and pinning two crucifixes under his pillow. After he left, one crucifix propelled itself across the room and the other moved to the foot of the bed as the bed shook violently.

On March 16, the Archbishop of St. Louis gave Father Lawrence permission to begin the formal rite of exorcism. During the first night of the ritual, marks appeared on John's skin 30 times -- including the word "Hell" and a portrait of a Satanic visage. The 45-minute ritual was performed several times a night over the next week. John's responses became increasingly rabid, including screaming torrents of profanity and foreign words, violent seizures and uncontrolled urinating. With the parents' permission, John was converted to Catholicism. But his responses to the rituals only became worse. The disturbances suddenly stopped on March 26. Father Lawrence believed John's possession was over.

However, they began again on March 31, with John's behavior during the rituals getting even more violent. "I am always in him," the demon said through John's lips. After more days of no progress, Father Lawrence read about an 1870 case of possession that provided a key to exorcising the demon. On the night of April 18, he forced John to wear a chain of religious medals and hold a crucifix in his hand during the exorcism ritual. When Father Lawrence commanded the demon to declare itself, John exploded in a violent spasm of amazing strength, needing five men to hold him down. At 11 p.m., John suddenly interrupted the ritual by shouting, "Satan! I am St. Michael. I command you, Satan, to leave his body now!" After then enduring the most violent spasms yet, John uttered, "He is gone" and suddenly returned to normal, breaking into a smile."

William Peter Blatty, then a student at Georgetown University, read about John's story in the newspapers. The story stuck with him and 20 years later he fictionalized it to create "The Exorcist."

The acting in this isn't all that great and this movie doesn't come close to being as good as The Exorcist, but trust me, this is a very entertaining and edifying movie. This film has R rated material but mainly for subject matter alone, don't expect any gore or anything like that. Also, don't watch this and expect anything like The Exorcist either because you will be disappointed if you do. Understand that this was made for television and it does have the occasional made for TV cheese, but it's always fun to watch and yes, there are some truly creepy ass moments as well. You should definitely see this movie, it's very well made and plus it's very interesting to see what actually happened to the real boy. I recommend it.

This is one of my favorite holiday movies. This was another made for TV movie back in the 80's that I caught around Halloween time. I know this movie use to be on DVD and I actually own a copy, but unfortunately as far as I know this movie is out of print. You should still see it if you can find a copy somewhere because this movie was just awesome. I know that they have used copies on Amazon but there asking for over $100 and that's just ridiculous. Maybe they have a cheap copy somewhere on EBay but I don't know for certain.

This movie has a lot of shit in it...vampires, zombies, a werewolf, and even a midget zombie(the cutest zombie I have ever seen). It's about a teenage boy named Phil, who on Halloween time, shows his classmates a slideshow of a legendary witch from their community named Lucinda. After class one of Phil's dumb friends, named Mitch, gets an idea and tells everyone that they should steal artifacts from Lucinda's three hundred year old wardrobe and wear them as costumes. Of course, a group of them feel the need to go along with Mitch's idea, and after school the teens break into an old basement where Lucinda's artifacts remain. While in the basement one of them comes across an old trunk bearing the "Grenville" seal. Nathaniel Grenville was actually the man responsible for hanging Lucinda hundreds of years ago, and saving the town from her curse. The teens now also feel that they should take the trunk along with them on their little mission to the local cemetery.

While at the cemetery the group of teens, now wearing their Halloween costumes, decide to open the trunk and inside they find Nathaniel's ring and a timeworn scroll. Melissa, one of Phil's friends, takes the scroll and begins to read the accursed incantation. Little did she know that she just raised hell from beyond the grave and everyone and everything starts to rise from their tomb. In the mist of all this chaos Phil meets a beautiful young girl named Sandy, who wears a cheerleading outfit and does cheers with her pom-poms. What Phil doesn't know at first is that Sandy is also a zombie herself, but the thing is that she's actually a good zombie.

Back at the teens Halloween party the dead are dancing it up, literally. No one at the party seems to know that the zombies are crashing it, for everyone there is dressed up in a costume. The party's biggest threat though is Lucinda, the witch/vampire that they brought back from the grave, and it's all up to Phil and his new girlfriend Sandy to save the day...or can they?

This movie is just so much fun. What a great Halloween time view this was! Don't expect any violence or anything like that because this was a made for TV movie that was viewable for the younger crowd, all though they did show some stuff that might be too frightening for them. The good thing too was, it wasn't all that cheesy(well at least not in a bad way) and this movie had plenty of spooky atmosphere to go around. If you can you have to get your hands on this movie. Hopefully they'll release it again on DVD just in time for the Halloween season, but you should really try to see this one as soon as possible. Like I said, it's one of my favorite holiday movies!

I thought very highly of Night Watch and I wasn't disappointed in this sequel, but I'd say despite the HIGHLY imaginative artistic effects it's a bit more confusing and complex to it's predecessor.

I think I need to watch it again as there is alot to take in and ultimately you need to have seen the first to make heads or tails of it.

Day Watch is a blend of Matrix and Blade Runner shaken up in a Russian blended mesh that oozes style and intelligence.

I have to mention the visuals are excellent and amazing to see the other side, the flip side of the coin focusing on the bad, The Day Watch.

It's got one of those endings that concludes the epic.

An artistic fantasy adult mini-Masterpiece, Day Watch delivers.
Worth seeing if your a fan of the first.

May confuse many who expect simplicity in plot.

This is such a great emotional and powerful film. This was a made for TV movie that I first caught when they premiered it on Showtime. It's about a shooting that might possibly take place at a troubled teenagers local high school, and unlike the movie "Elephant" this one gives us more insight as to why the troubled teens want to go along with it and focuses a lot more on their emotions. Do not watch this movie if you get depressed easily, because trust me this one is a downer. On the other hand it might actually help you better understand that there are always two sides of the story, and even though these teen offenders wanted to commit such a horrible act, they too were victims as well. Two wrongs do not make a right, and shooting up a school is totally immoral and unjustifiable, but this movie did show that the troubled teens still indeed had much innocence hidden somewhere inside them.

Ben Foster is amazing in this movie. His character in the film goes by the name of Trevor Adams, who was recently suspended from his school after he had made a bomb threat. The other teenagers would constantly pick on Trevor, making his life a living hell, but not so much after he returned to his school again. Because of his previous threat, Trevor had put a lot of fear into many of the students, which led them to kind of stay away from Trevor. The only person in the school who seems to understand Trevor is a film teacher named Val Duncan, who asks Trevor to star in a school play about school violence, something that Trevor seems to know a little about. There is also a new girl in school who seems to take a likening in Trevor, and even tries reaching out to him. But there are still things in Trevor's life that he can't escape and when another group of troubled teens, who also get picked on and call themselves "Trogs", start battling it out with the jocks they ask Trevor that he join them. Trevor's now torn from his decision between joining the Trogs or listening to his film teacher's helpful advice. The big problem for Trevor now is that the Trogs actually plan on shooting up their high school and killing all the trouble making jocks.

Watching Ben Foster's character in this movie I swear it's like you can almost feel his pain. He plays it so damn well and I never knew when the hell his character was just going to snap with fucking rage. You can tell that his character in the movie was really a good kid at heart, but sadly the people around him just made his life a living hell (which he records on his video camera by the way). The other troubled teens also play a very good part, and believe it or not, you might actually find yourself looking up to these kids at certain points. Everything that these kids go through is just so sad. Again, this movie is very depressing but you should all check it out if you can.

By the way, this movie is actually based on a school play and they show it to students in many, many high schools. There is a great message that's told through the play, as well as in the movie.

Don't Go to Sleep Don't Go to Sleep

Don't Go To Sleep (1982) is a very hard movie to get a hold of. There is no DVD release yet for this movie, but there are copies floating around the internet. This was a made for TV movie and let me tell you, this scared the crap out of me back in the day. What a creepy ass movie this was.

The movie is about a family of four, the parents and their two children, who move into a new home and try to start their life over after the death of their oldest daughter Jennifer, which resulted from a freak car explosion. The two other young kids, who happened to survive the car explosion, are Mary and her brother Kevin. The house that the family moved into belongs to Bernice, which is Mary and Kevin's grandmother. Everything seems fine at first but the terror begins when Mary starts hearing her deceased sister Jennifer calling for her from underneath the bed. Of course it turns out that Mary's parents don't believe her and they even blame her younger brother Kevin for scaring Mary. Little did they know that Kevin was indeed an innocent bystander and the voices that Mary was hearing might actually really be coming from her dead sister Jennifer.

Things get even worse from here and the ghost of Jennifer now actually becomes visible to Mary. Jennifer's ghost becomes Mary's new playmate, and there's nothing or nobody that will stand in their way because Mary will make sure of that. After a few days of hanging out with her deceased sister, Jennifer tells Mary of a new plan that she has. She tells Mary that she must kill her family off one by one, or else they can no longer be together. Mary, scared to loose her older sister again, decides that this plan might just be a good idea and from here on is where things start becoming very deadly. Mary's family start slowly dropping like flies, but in the beginning it's not really visible to who is really killing them. And here's where the question lies...is Mary the one actually killing her family off one by one, or is it really the ghost of her dead sister Jennifer?

This movie was very eerie. There is no violence or anything like that, being that it was a made for TV movie, but the things that they suggested I'm surprised that they got away with that much. The acting isn't the greatest, but what do you expect from a made for TV horror movie? It was good enough for what it was and it never gets too unbearably cheesy. The voices that came from underneath Mary's bed were scary as hell, and Jennifer's ghost was truly spine tingling. The story was also very well told, and what's even creepiest out of the whole thing was the ending that left me sleeping with the lights on (of course I was younger at the time), but it still packs a punch.

This movie is very hard to find and as I said it isn't officially released on DVD yet. If you really want to see this movie just look around for a copy on the internet, but good luck finding it. The only reason why I have it is because I bought a copy from a horror convention, and luckily it was very good quality. Anyways, you should really try to see this movie.

Try to see this movie if you can, it is so hard to find. It's not released on DVD yet but there are some copies floating around on the internet. I actually got a great copy of this movie that I bought at a convention a few years back. It's based on the true story of teenage Ricky Kasso aka The Acid King. He got that nick name because he use to drop several hits of acid everyday.

Here's the true story. I'll sum it up for you...

What happened was Ricky Kasso and a few of his friends, who were brainwashed by him, use to worship Satan and held seances at their friends houses. They also made animal sacrifices and they practiced the Satanic Bible. Actually, what's interesting also is that they use to hold seances in the back of the infamous "haunted" Amityville house. No shit.

Next comes the murder of one of Ricky Kasso's own friends. One night at a party when Ricky was passed out sleeping, his friend Gary Lauwers stole 10 bags of angel dust from Ricky's pocket. When Ricky found out what the kid had did, him and his other friends lured Gary into the woods with promises to give him drugs and have a party. After taking several hits of mescaline around the campfire things suddenly spun out of control. Ricky Kasso had threatened to kill Gary if he didn't say "I love Satan" and after Gary was being stabbed repeatedly all he could say was, "No, I love my mother". Ricky had stabbed Gary somewhere around 36 times, burned him on parts of his body and gouged out his eyeballs. After the murder Ricky Kasso and his other friends had bragged about it to people around the town. Eventually Ricky was caught by the police, and while waiting in his jail cell Ricky committed suicide by hanging himself.

One of his other friends also killed himself when he found out how much trouble he was actually in, and Ricky's other close friend was acquitted of second degree murder because of his mental state after doing so many drugs that night.

This movie was awesome. It's very creepy in the real life sense, being that this was all an actual true story. The acting was believable, especially Ricky Kasso played by Vincent Kartheiser, although in this movie the character's name was Ricky Cowen. There's really not that much violence here, but this movie really didn't need it. The subject matter alone was gruesome enough, especially at the end when the young kid gets murdered. I also liked how they showed a bit of a build up as to why Ricky Kasso turned out the way he did. It's like in the beginning you actually feel a little bad for Ricky, knowing that he could have gotten the help that he needed, but no one was really there for him. All that quickly changes a little later on in the film when you find yourself wanting to strangle the hell out of Vincent Kartheiser's character. Anyway, this movie is a must see! Try to find it, perhaps maybe on EBay or something.

Also, look up the real picture of Ricky Kasso. Talk about a creepy looking kid!

Jerry Lundegaard's inept crime falls apart due to his and his henchmen's bungling and the persistent police work of pregnant Marge Gunderson.

    William H. Macy: Jerry Lundegaard

    Steve Buscemi: Carl Showalter

    Peter Stormare: Gaear Grimsrud

In a word Fargo is majestic, and everything i look for in a film ranging from isolated snowy visuals to detailed characters and black humour to haunting music and story...Top that with adult action and a blood soaked true story for the basis, it's a winner!

The cast is perfection, Frances McDormand as Marge Gunderson is so believable.
Peter Stomare & Steve Buscemi are a riot as the hired kidnappers and William H. Macy as the money desperate husband who's scheming sets off all the madness and fun. I loved the accents and the Ya's used by the Minneapolis people.
One thing that made me laugh, as well as the encounter with the Cop on the road side that Steve and Peter have, was the funny conversation with the Airport Lot Attendant that Steve Buscemi has. GOLD!:

Based on truth, Joel Coen has directed a masterpiece and this is apparent from the first 30 minutes. It had me hooked from the haunting music to the inspirational location.
Plot wise the material is gold proving what people will do for money and how ultimately that longing can be fulfilled by dreadful means.

There's some beautiful scenes in Fargo that have suspense and gore but manage to be funny in my eyes which does wonders.
What prevails in the end and this true story effortlessly realised by Joel & Ethan, who wrote this wondrous Fargo.

Loved so much and so tantilisingly delicious with dark wit and poise I'm considering putting in my favourite Movies.

Fargo, like No Country is a vision of grandeur from the Coens showing realism and depth, and above all else that you don't have to have fantasy, to have a gripping bizarre story.

The truth it seems is stranger than Fiction...

Fargo doesn't just qualify, it exceeds all expectations and blows them apart.

PS -Blonde moment, Fargo is not based on a true story clarified by my friend Dr BenJay, nice one Coen's, bloody hell...Got to see the funny side!
If you've seen this and you're into Black Comedies and didn't like it Whats your problem eh? Haha! I'd revise your thought's on this beauty, it's GOLD!

Based on a true story and events, Fargo is one of the best films I hadn't seen for a long time and hardly remembered. I love Dark humour and bizarre Stories.

Anyone into what I've said plus they haven't seen this, see it! If you have seen it watch it again because heck i know i am going to!

<'>''YA''''YA'', loving the dumb accents, they are so rocking my boat!

In words Fargo screeches and wails Masterpiece that demands to be watched.

    SEE IT!

Nice conclusion to the Rocky saga...Story was well done...Hard to belive a 60 year old can still box...but overall a nice conclusion to the Rocky saga...makes the 5th installment non existent...Sly is still built well...funny as a resteraunt owner...the film was emotional and had some moments of greatness..the final fight was brilliant...Overall any fan of Rocky should enjoy it.
