I admit, it was pretty good. I liked certain characters, but I didn't love them like I did in the '95 version (with Colin Firth. Mmm...) The biggest thing I had against this movie was that the social strains of the characters seemed to be exaggerated quite a bit, which I guessed was so that a modern audience would be able to grasp it, being a typical Hollywood movie and all. It seemed like a lot of their actions were actions people of the time would never do. Basically, I just didn't think it was as historically accurate as the '95 version, nor as true to the book. I also didn't think Keira Knightley made a good Elizabeth. Sorry, I think she's a great actress and all, but she just didn't feel right for Elizabeth (to me, at least). Other than that, I had quite a good time observing the characters and noticing differences both from the book and from the other version. Is it just me, or does the man who plays Wickham look and sound bizarrely like Orlando Bloom? I kept thinking of a mutated Legolas... |

| Blood: The Last Vampire - R | What a disappointment! I love the anime film and had high hopes, but this mess was difficult to even finish. It barely has any resemblance to the storyline of the anime, and the story they made up instead is dull, sloppy, and just plain boring. The two stars are for the choreography and cinematography, the only redeeming features of this film. If you like the anime, DON'T BOTHER WATCHING THIS. | December 27, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Three...Extremes (Saam gaang yi) - R | Loved these short films, especially the first one, "Dumplings"! It's so deliciously evil. They really should have put it at the end, to save the best for last, because I was kind of bored with the other 2 after watching the first. | December 27, 2009 | N/A | |||
