Eagle Eye
by LYNNShia LaBeouf, Rosario Dawson, Michelle Monaghan
A young slacker and a single mom get tangled up in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination.

Great action thriller. Great performances by Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan. Enjoyed it from start to finish. Like the twist right in the begining of the movie, really set the paste for the rest of the film. Non-stop action, kept you guessing throughout. Those are the best kind of action thrillers. Billy Bob Thornton was great. Shia is really starting to expand his acting skills. He was great in this movie. Can't wait to see what else he does.posted 19 days ago -

The Lookout
by LYNNJoseph Gordon-Levitt plays a guy named Chris Pratt, an allstar athlete at his high school who's life goes spiraling down after a horrific car accident that put him in a coma. When he awakens he is a changed person. He has memory problems so he has to use a notepad to right down everything he does or needs to do so he can remember them. He also takes medication to help him with his illness. To help him cope with life is his blind roommate Lewis (played by Jeff Daniels). Chris Pratt now works in a bank as the night janitor. After work he goes to a local bar where he meets Gary Spargo. Gary soon enough cons his way into Chris's life and there on talks Chris into helping him and his gang rob the bank Chris works at. Chris feeling like he has no power in his life thinks this will give him some of his life back. Although on the night of the robbery Chris has doubts and decides he wants no part in it, but Gary and his gang don't agree. That's when things start unraveling quickly.
It was a great movie with great performances. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in my opinion is one of the best young male actor's today. He can play any part. Definitely not the normal bank robbing movie. Jeff Daniels was BRILLIANT as always. I thought Matthew Goode (who played Gary) was a great villain. It was half drama and half thriller. Just really good.posted 20 days ago -

The Yards
by LYNN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This movie started out a little slow, but it got interesting quickly enough. I am really starting to become an fan of Joaquin Phoenix. I enjoy watching him act. Really hope he decides to act again. Mark Wahlberg was great. Once the story gets going it holds your attention. Really liked the movie and its action. Thought everyone was great. Little weirded out with Mark and Charlize relationship since they are suppose to be cousins in the movie. But it explains it later on in the movie. But all in all a really good movie.posted 20 days ago -

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
by LYNNCan't wait to see how it turned out. The trailer looks good and their suppose to keep it closer to the book then Twilight, (I hope they did) assuming that's true, then it should be awesome, cause the book is really good. .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, Just saw the movie, and I am thrilled that I wasn't disappointed. It was just so much better then Twilight. The lighting, the script, the directing, the acting, it was just so much better. I mean I love Twilight, but it was just so not as on point as New Moon was. It was like literally watching the book. Loved that they used a lot of the lines from the book. Made it feel more real I guess. Loved the wolves. Bravo to Chris Weitz. He did an amazing job with this movie. The special effects were so much better, and the CGI was awesome. Taylor Lautner... Wow.. I had doubts, and I am pleasantly surprised by his acting and am glad he is still Jacob Black. Thought he was excellent. Kristen was Bella. More so then she was in Twilight. I think the acting by all the actors in this movie was so much better. They all seemed to just more comfortable in their character's they were playing. Just so pleased with this movie. I was disappointed a little with Twilight, so New Moon is definitely an upgrade. Now I can't imagine waiting so long for Eclipse. The ending to New Moon was just torture, like waiting for the book Eclipse to come out so you can find out what happens next, even thought those of us who have read the books already know. But still, it's going to be torture.posted 23 days ago -
I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this, and this is coming from someone who didn't have any intention of seeing it at all, but when a movie gets recommended to me so many times, I have to check it out and see what the hype is about. Wasn't disappointed. Loved it..
Star Trek
by LYNNChris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy
The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk, is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock, was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before.
OK, I am not a fan of the series, but I must admit, I really liked this movie. I was so sure I wouldn't like this movie considering I didn't like the series. In-fact, I had already predicted that I would end up turning the movie off in the first 30min. of the film. I was obviously wrong. So much action, and a great story. The whole thing was very fascinating. I was so deeply interested in the whole thing. Had me jumping at some parts and definitely had my full attention from start to finish. It even had quite a few funny moments. I think everyone should see this movie, even if your not a fan of the series(like me). Take the Star Trek title away and just think of it as an action movie. That's what I did, and I was not disappointed. A must see..posted 23 days ago -
Meet Bill
by LYNNJessica Alba, Elizabeth Banks, Aaron Eckhart
A guy fed up with his job and married to a cheating wife reluctantly mentors a rebellious teen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Great comedy. Really liked this movie a lot. I was laughing one moment and then cringing in embarrassment for Aaron Eckhart's character Bill another moment. Just some really awkward moments that make you wanna laugh but then feel sorry for the guy. Logan Lerman was great in this movie. Liked his sarcastic comments and if not for his performance, I feel Jessica Alba's would have been forgetful. Logan definitely stills her spotlight. Aaron Eckhart was great. I loved his acting in this movie. He was hilarious.posted 24 days ago -

The Hills Run Red
by Agnesa bit corny, unrealistic and predictable, it's something we all have seen before..it started out ok but after the so called twist, it just got worse..I have to admit that the villain is pretty cool, but other than that, this horrormovie did not impress me..I really like William Sadler and I think his too good for this movie...

Fireflies in the Garden
by LYNNJulia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe
Michael Taylor (Ryan Reynolds) is an author who has channeled his painful childhood memories into his novels. With some reluctance, he is flying home for his mother Lisa's (Julia Roberts) college graduation. After a lifetime of putting everyone else first, stroking her husband's (Willem Dafoe) massively insecure ego and raising her children in spite of that, it's Lisa's turn. What should be a moment of great celebration turns into a tragic reunion when Lisa is killed in a car accident, leaving father, son and family to pick up the pieces. While preparing for their mother's funeral, memories are relived and secrets are revealed which will test the family bond. After a childhood of hiding in his father's shadows, protected by his mother, Michael must confront his past and find an understanding of his family, his father and himself.

Love, Love, Loved this movie. The cast is amazing right down to the young children acting in it. Great performances by them all. It's a dark drama, and I am amazed it has taken me this long to see this movie since I am such a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds and Julia Roberts. The story goes back and forth from past to present and really does a great job at putting you in the story. It's an emotional roller coaster. Willem Dafoe was brilliant at playing the father, has to be his best performance in a movie that I have seen. It's just a beautifully made film. I will definitely be looking for this one on DVD.posted 26 days ago -

Absolutely loved this movie. Thought I was in for another hit-man movie, but it was the opposite. Loved the dry humor. Definitely a dark comedy, without trying so hard to be funny. Ben Kingsley was brilliant. Loved Luke Wilson and Tea Leoni. She was really funny in this movie. Such an odd thing for people to be completely accepting of Ben's character being an Hit-man, but not his drinking. Just really good movie that I almost past up. But thought since it was recommended to me I would give it a watch. Glad I did.posted 26 days ago
