Javier Bardem plays the best villain I've seen in a LONG time. No Country's biggest weakness is that those attracted by hype or the Coen brother's previous comic films may be distracted by the extreme violence and coldness.
2 parts "Cast Away", 1 part "28 Days", and a little cheese on top. Decent acting by Smith but the story (especially the ending) has problems and is sometimes dull and predictable.
Good film - draws attention to privileges that we take for granted by showing victims of the government, who's only crime was not loving the "right person". I don't see how one can NOT support equal marriages after seeing this.
Interesting twist on the Zombie genre. Currie could have gone further with it though. Instead we have a horror/comedy isn't exceptionally scary or funny. It's "Leave it to Beaver" with zombie slaves.
