This story handles religion and science in such an affecting manner that its hard not to be touched by it. If you want to see stuff blowing up then you might rent a Roland Emmerich movie instead.
While it's not the most exciting documentary, it is shocking and informative. This tale of deregulation , corruption, and manipulation is very relevant to the current financial crisis.
I can't suspend disbelief hard enough to not laugh at the ridiculousness of this mindless violence. It just BARELY meets the minimum requirements for entertainment though.
Although this movie has very little dialogue, a lot is conveyed through the animation. This movie is cute and makes you feel good. Plus I love how his recharge plays the Mac startup chime.
Jada Pinkett Smith's directorial debut is full of cheesy philosophical dialogue, characters and situations that never pay-off, and twists that you can see coming a mile away. With that said, it did have it's moments. Plus she sprinkles in a fair amount of sex and violence to keep our attention. She just need's to work on her writing. If interested, add it to your Netflix queue.
The game was excellent. The Ben Templesmith animated comic was pretty good. This movie was disappointing though. I admit that the Line Cutter was cool. Hopefully that will be introduced as a download for the game.
Although some of the effects don't hold up, it's hard for me to think of a better sequel and more influential film than Aliens. I've definitely seen this over 10 times and it's always a pleasure.
It's no Exorcist but if you can get past those moments where the character on screen is doing something that makes absolutely NO sense then it's a decent horror flick.
The message is relevant but the execution is rather banal. I don't want to shoot the messenger here (even though I should) so I recommend waiting for this to come out on Netflix.
Aside from a particularly vicious murder scene involving a mouth, not much grabs your attention here. It plods along for an hour and a half and then its like Aja said, "hey guys we're $10 mil under budget, let's blow some $h*! up for no good reason!?". It's watchable, but not really enjoyable.
Cruise and Downey Jr were the best parts of film. Everyone else was OK except for Stiller who was apparently still working with the Zoolander script. Ehhh.
