A Serious Man

One thing I can say for sure is The Coen Brothers know what they are doing. From every placement of the camera and the impeccable timing, damn these boys are good. This is a master stroke of film, the curve balls in story that seem to come out of nowhere get the brain thinking. Its engaging, it has you wondering what is going to happen next and surprises you with its understatement. The ending is abrupt but it tells you what it wants to say. I guess thats the bottom line. The characters are awesome but typical of a Coen Brothers movie. A must see for the lovers of FILM.
The Passion of the Christ

This movie should have been called "the stations of the cross"... hmmm where to start?!... okay visually this movie was great on the eyes and no doubt Mel Gibson or his DP has a good eye for composition. The cast looked great but in all honesty they didnt have much to do but look like they are in pain or sorrow. Jesus portrayed like all those renaissance paintings I guess pays homage to the early artists who visualized him first. At least he wasn't blonde but I guess there is no pleasing people when it comes to the appearance of their lord. Caviezel is quite handsome and you get that nice romantic view of Jesus. I loved the fact that the movie was subtitled but I couldn't for the life of me get ride of the captions stating " MOODY MUSIC PLAYING NOW ".... which shit me to tears... That being said I didn't get any passion of the christ, just all the PAIN!! ... still it was a good attempt. Hopefully any future renditions of the story of christ will have some soul in it, some hope, some lessons even.. because in my opinion that is what the christ was all about.

love and memories, there are many levels to this movie and it sure made me think .... whether you would do the same thing again if you lost the memory of it. Whether connecting with someone else is something more than just being at the right place at the right time.

This movie has it all, not only great direction ( love the way Luc Besson directs to the music... he has great tempo),the colour, the design, the fashion. The comedy. Its a great ride.
