WALL-E
by Gee StevenThis film is beautifully animated, of course, to that magical Pixar point where even piles of what should be disgusting trash somehow look breathtakingly gorgeous and even fairly realistic-looking roaches look cute. WALL·E has a great story, packed with fun and humor, built up with memorable characters and fun for all ages. I highly recommend this movie for everyone, it's just a very wonderful movie that anyone can enjoy.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
by Gee StevenKuch Kuch Hota Hai is a romance that stands out from the typical Hollywood love story -- paying attention to detail and character development in a way in which I've rarely seen before. Great melodies, especially the title song. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are the best pairing in modern day's hero's and look wonderful together. I recommend this to anyone who wants to be swept away by a good story and great actors.

The Defender
by Gee StevenBodyguard from Beijing is a HK remake of Hollywood's The Bodyguard starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. But HK's version is quite different and a whole lot better. The relationship between Jet Li and Christy Chung has more tension and is more believable. And the action is incomparable. The shopping mall scene and especially the end fighting scene are simply too awesome to describe. Must see for any Jet Li fan.

Hostel: Part II
by VetI found it to be alot more structured and entertaining than the first. If anything it is definetly worth the watch for the ending. The entire cast brings their best to the table and Eli Roth's grotesque, savagely biting sense of humor hasn't lost it's edge one bit

Doomsday
by VetWas not impressed w/ this film at all. Yet another film that deals with a virus that kills humanity. Absolutely no originality, this was an obvious attempt at ripping off every Post Apocalyptic movie from Mad Max & Escape from New York to Resident Evil. There was a lot of blood and gore, but it didn't seem to add anything to the story.

Gorgeous (Boh lee chun)
by Gee StevenThis is a Jackie Chan movie with a difference, it is also a romantic film. The same Jackie Chan trademarks are exhibited, the action scenes and the humour, but the romantic angle is fuller than in his other films. The characters are well chosen and believable. The action scenes are up to Jackie Chan's usual standard with plenty of humour mixed in. The movie as a whole is excellent.

Tears of the Sun
by Gee StevenThis movie was simply incredible. The choice of Bruce Willis was a good one and he plays a deeply conflicted character, he plays him with depth. The soundtrack was well suited and complimented the whole overall feel to the movie. Antoine Fuqua brings a strong moral theme to his characters and the story. The whole visual manner of filming, camera angles, close ups, etc., adds to the intensity here.

Kamen Rider the Next
by Gee StevenThis movie is better than Kamen Rider: The First. The story is trying to borrow elements from other movies like horror movies. The fighting scenes is good but it is obvious that they had strings to help do the fighting they want. There is blood and nudity added. It is action-packed with unusual stunts. It is not the usual Kamen Rider series or movies, it is more darker and violent plus mature.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
by Gee StevenThis movie has all the required elements of epic action, sense of humor and great special effects. From hence starts the conflict and the resultant curse on which the movie stands. Brendan Fraser undoubtedly has this action-comedy genre sewn up right in his alley. Very well choreographed, especially that thrilling sword fight between Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh. This is something worth seeing.

The Mutant Chronicles
by Gee StevenThis movie is derivative, full of clichés, underdeveloped characters, but its still great fun and full of B movie goodness. Thomas Jane is still good to watch and Sean Pertwee puts in a solid performance as well. There is plenty of action, some great fight scenes, and some creepy moments. The whole retro mix of world war I and future technology is truly worth watching alone.

Get Smart
by Gee StevenThis movie brings the beloved series fully up to date, retaining the spirit and, frequently, familiar pieces of dialog from the original. The jokes were great in the movie and the acting was good. Peter Segal as the director and the two writers deserve immense credit for realizing this great TV series in a different era. This is the typical movie which only purpose is to entertain the viewers.

Titan A.E.
by Gee StevenThe story is cliched. The animation by far is a turning point in the world of animated features. From the start, the animation is exceptional. The characters are just portrayed so well. The actors doing the voice-overs put so much emotion into what the characters actually felt. This movie is great for family viewing.

In the Valley of Elah
by Gee StevenTrying to rationalize In the Valley of Elah will challenge your views. The cast of this film is simply phenomenal. Tommy Lee Jones holds the production to a very high standard, and watching him trying not to burst into tears is probably one of the more powerful moments in the film. This movie holds nothing back and forces us to peer into those places we dare not look.
