This is something original and hits hard considering society's tussle with youngsters at the moment. An ageing former solider leads a quite life following tragic events very few could live with, his only companion and comfort is a lovely old dog called Red. When Red is disgracefully killed by a senseless youth he looks for justice as the small town people close ranks around him. Brilliant acting from the lead character and the back story of what happened to the man's family is so tragic.

This isn't a fast paced movie, the drama carries most of the plot, and there are one or two low level action scenes of note to help with the flow. The story does keep you a little annoyed by the lack of justice, and you do find yourself having to be a little patient at times, none-the-less worth a look.

Lots of explicit sex scenes, very graphic and real at that, (for example, ever seen an ejaculation in an 18-rated film before?), 9 rock songs (didn't count but I assume that's what the title meant), and a few stunning shots from the Antarctic. However much the sex and concerts tell us about the couples relationship, there is a definite lack of dialog and storyline in this film, which in my mind lets it down.

From the outset you know you are watching something different than your run of the mill shock horror. An intelligent and super twisted spin on a revenge movie that keeps you hooked as you'll be desperate to find out why the main character was imprisoned for 15 years. A dense, dark, devastatingly sad story of incest, revenge and love. Bleak, yet hauntingly beautiful and powerfully acted, the story line never tires throughout the film and grips you from start to finish. The second in the vengeance trilogy and perhaps the most well known - fine as a stand alone. An extraordinary and original film.
Snatch. Snatch. R
In true Lock Stock style Vinnie Jones returns to the screen in this excellent film!! It has all the action of Lock Stock and the excellent one liners to go with it - listen veeeerry carefully to Brad Pitt who is superb in his roll as a Gypsy Prize fighter, you'll be hitting the rewind button to some of his lines I guarantee it - he was absolutely hiliarious. The same twists and turns as Lock Stock, but slicker and funnier than Ritchie's earlier film. Violent, foul mouthed and gritty. If you like British ganster flicks, this is amongst the best!
