Terry Gilliam is a very good director of movies that don't necessarily make sense, don't really try to make sense, but are visually stunning, and enchant you and your brain for some time afteward. Also, Heath Ledger was good in this.

I love it. Most movies are lucky to have one really memorable performance: this has 8. Awesome style. Caustic and hilarious and beautiful and subtle and blatant and romantic and disgusting... it's a wild ride. Great soundtrack is the icing on the cake.
