High Plains Drifter

An interesting, surreal take on the traditions of the Western. When Clint Eastwood's duster-wearing Stranger rides into a quiet lakeside town, we think we're in for another morally unambiguous tale of good versus evil, guns-a-blazing. What we get instead is a gritty, ugly story of people at their worst. The pacing seems a bit wonky, and the treatment of women leaves something to be desired, but it raises moral ambiguities that most Westerns don't, incorporates some surreal and almost horrifying moments, and features Clint Eastwood at his gruff, grizzled finest.

Pulp Fiction

One of my top 5 favorite films. Nothing about this film is less than amazing, though my favourite part is undoubtedly Sammy J.
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
PG
The apex of the Star Wars saga, it just doesn't get much better than this. We got the battle of Hoth, the asteroids, han frozen in carbonite, and the most epic lightsaber fight in all six films. The best part: no Ewoks, Jawas, or Gungans!
