Yet another remake (or rip-off) of an 80s movie. This one shamelessly steals from "Heathers", but Tina Fey's writing (supposedly an adaptation of the non-fiction book "Queen Bees and Wanna Be's) makes it... passable.
Goofy and improbable Cinderella story of romance between a wealthy businessman and a streetwalker somehow still manages to be charming. A really, really guilty pleasure.
So what if it's a teeny-bopper version of "Taming of the Shrew" - a great cast led by the talented Julia Stiles and a top-notch soundtrack make this a guilty pleasure.
If you're going to remake a classic, chose one that was heavily flawed to begin with. Stylish drama is definitely more watchable than the Rat Pack musical.
Essentially a remake of 'A Night To Remember' with a cheesy romance story grafted on. Still, has edge of your seat tension and great pathos despite the fact that you already know how it's going to end.
