Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Words are too small to describe it. The film is too stunning, too beautiful, too full of feeling. Simply heart-stopping.

Moon (2009,  R)
Moon
Absolutely astounding, undoubtedly the best moving picture made in recent years. Moon, the debut film from director Duncan Jones, is a masterfully eerie, moving, funny, humane, gripping and intelligent indie sci-fi film. Sam Rockwell's multilayered performance is exceptional. The less you know about the plot in advance, the better.

Forrest Gump (1994,  PG-13)

Casino Royale (2006,  PG-13)
Casino Royale
Saw it... LOVED it! ---- I'm really looking forward to seeing this. I wasn't exactly thrilled when I first heard Daniel Craig was going to be the new Bond. I guess it was because I had a completely different picture in my head, but the more I have seen him in many interviews, the more intrigued I've become. I never liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond, he was too cartoonish and the movies were a bit ridiculous. I've heard this one's pretty dark, so I'm excited about that.
26
Wonder Boys (2000,  R)

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007,  R)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Eerie, gorgeous, dark. Pitt's subtle performance with quiet menace is a wonder to watch. Also, Casey Affleck pretty much blew my mind with his intense and creepy take on Robert Ford. However, the movie was a little too slow paced and I've seen a few Jesse James documentaries that were more intriguing than this film. That's what took away the one final star. Nevertheless, this one's still a captivating story of the mystery that is Jesse James.

Suspenseful, elegant, clever, funny, charming, playful, emotionally engaging. Simply exceptional in all areas of brilliant film-making.
33
The Lion King (1994,  G)
34
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002,  R)
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Masterful and hypnotic blend of film noir, black humour and surrealism. Impressive directorial debut by Clooney! He really understands the essence of Kaufman's nuanced script. And you know, Sam Rockwell. What can one say about him? He's too talented and too cool for words.

Also, the film probably has the funniest cameo scene ever.
