Disney's Aladdin - G A claasic Disney animated movie. This review won't cover any plot as everyone should have already seen this epic sometime in their life. How to describe this movie? Cool, intriguing, charming, heartwarming, amazing, epic, funny, classic, entertaining? The characters are very memorable especially the Genie, that guy is so cool he often impersonates other film characters such as The Terminator, Hades, and a load of other well known movie and stereotypes. A truly unique animated film. December 25, 2009

Saving Private Ryan - R The best war film imaginable! If anybody knows of a better war film please tell me and eye will make a quick trip to Blockbuster and see if it delivers. This film directed by Spielberg really captures the real terror of war with all the carnage intact. Yes this film is graphic, but the gore is necessary to truly capture the sense of war. The central cast is good the highlights being Tom Hanks as Captain John H. Miller, and the short but sweet apperance of Vin Diseal as Private Adrian Caparzo. The film is a bit long but eye barley noticed because every scene has meaning. Run don't walk to the nearest Blockbuster to check this out if youv'e never seen it before,(it's preferable that you drive there of course). December 25, 2009

Children of Men - R Children of Men is a hauntingly errie thriller. The plot revolves around getting the only pregnant woman into this safe zone place. The movie grips you from the start, and then it thrills you with an all too real atmosphere of a world gone aray. The cast of the movie is great, espically with the always excellent Michael Caine. But, darn it really chilled me to see one of my favorite actors get brutally executed. If you haven't seen this fantastic thriller you don't know what you're missing! December 25, 2009

28 Weeks Later... - R This is among the best of any zombie like films eyev'e ever seen! The tension is top notch teeth chattering. Like 28 Days Later everytime there is a zombie attack sequeunce the action changes to a fast and frantic handheld style. Like Cloverfield these instances may make certain people quizzy and nasouse. the film starts out with a group of survivors taking refuge in an isolated house when a panicking boy on the run from the infected arrives at there door pounding for entrance the survivors have no choice but to let him in. Ensueing soon afterwards is the first slaughter sequence and man is it intense with all the infected humans ripping apart the house and eating the fleeing survivors. This film isn't for everyone of course only for those who can stomach the carnage that this movie is chock-full of. This movie also ties in to themes of terrorism that we are facing now in present times. How? Eye don't want to get into detail on that in this review. Later we are introduced to a safe zone set up by the U.S. Army were the man who was forced to leave his wife behind in the mentioned sequence in my review is reunited with his kids. A while later his wife is found and examined by the soldiers and it's confirmed that she is infact infected but for some reason imune to the effects. The first response by the soldiers is that they should exterminate and cremate the host. But a female soldier smartly reacts by saying they should keep her alive and study her she may hold the key for a cure to the RAGE virus. The decision is settled and they seal the woman in quarantine. Her husband who happens to have a keycard that accesses all doors in the base dumbly goes to her and kisses her, this exposes him to the RAGE virus and he swifly becomes infected and crazed killing his wife and naturally infecting the other people taking refuge in the safezone. When it becomes all but impossible to make out the infected from the refugees the soldiers go into code red and have no choice but to shoot anything that moves in order to contain the virus. It's heartbreaking when you see the soldiers eliminating both the infected and the poor refugees. As for the man's kids well technically they are now orphans as there mother is dead and there dad is a crazed canibal. But never fear the kids are befriended by the same female soldier who offered the suggestion on researching the childrens infected mother. The newly befriended group soon teamup with tagalongs on their journey to escape the infected zone. After teaming up with yet another soldier the group recieves news that the whole area is going to be nuked. As they escape and take refuge in a sewar like area they lose there elderly woman member who didn't back far enogh into the shelter and was instantly vaporized by the flames of the nuclear bombing. After this incredible moment the film goes into a standard zombie flick mode losing a bit of steam but still remaining entertaining. This film is well worth checking out, not to be missed. Kill Bill: Volume 1 - R Interesting little film. A bit bloody but it uses the gore to enhance its cinematic flare, so it's all forgiven. December 19, 2009

Reign of Fire - PG-13 One of the best movies with dragons that isn't the Lord of The Rings series. The CGI dragin creatures are fairly detailed. And the action packed scenes with them are pretty slick. It was awsome to see Christain Bale astride a horse as a dragon is chasing him. One water cooler moment after another, though the ending is rather lack luster. Final verdict, great film, sour after taste. December 17, 2009

2012 - PG-13 An ok disaster film, but not much else. There is also a big mistake in the film, it was the Aztec peoples calender that ended not the Mayan's. December 5, 2009

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - R "You want scarey?" "Well too bad this isn't scarey"

The cow says, "MOO", in english that means, "Sorry to burst you'r bubble people but the Texas Chainsaw Massacure incident never happened". And now about the film not being scarey, this film delivers next to no scares and it lacks any real suspense. Why did critics lable this movie as scary is beyond me. Do you still think there actually was a Texan guy who killed a bunch of people with a chainsaw? Let me tell you the true story, Ed Gein killed only two people with a gun and hung them from hooks inside his home, he did infact wear a human scalp on his head, and was obviously insane but he did not actually kill anybody by chainsaw. And that didn't even happen in Texas so seriously I have no idea were the whole Texas Chainsaw Massacre thing came froml. But there are unfortunetly real psychopaths that could be anywere in Texas or anywere in the world as a matter of fact I actually knew one, and you might even know one to.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets - PG Not as good as the original, yet still a good time of a movie. In the first movie things revolved in one general are. But in this sequel the protagonists travel to many cool locations in search of... you guessed it treasure. You already know how the movie ends but still you feel the adrenalyne as the chase unfolds. National Treasure - PG Hmm, a pretty good Indiana Jones clone. It doesn't get anywhere near the status of the Indiana series, but it holds its own. October 10, 2009

The Butterfly Effect - R The Butterfly Effect is a weird movie revolving around the concept of time travel. That gives the movie the excuse to be a little confusing with frequent changes in the plot. Compared to Donnie Darko however this movie is left in the dust. October 10, 2009

Quantum of Solace - PG-13 The frantic camera shake that the action sequenses are filmed in is enough to give people a head ache. Seriously does the camera have to act like its being operated by a drunken cameraman? The movie itself is not great. The basic theme is revenge, but it seems like it may also be about James Bonds inner demos or something. It's hard to be sure because the movie focuses more on the action than the story. District 9 - R District 9 is a great movie, though a tad bit overrated. The hype around the movie had me expecting a lot more. In the end it was just an awsome movie, not the sci-fi revelution it was said to be. October 10, 2009

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra - PG-13 This is yet another big budget Blockbuster based on a line of Hasbro toys. It is also an entertaining summer action movie that makes a lot more sense than Michael Bay's latest Transformers movie. September 5, 2009

The Super Mario Bros. - PG No where near as bad as people say. But it could have used some better effects after all it was made around the time as the CGIf revolutionary Jurrassic Park. The movie starts of very bizarely and I'm not going to cover it here in this review. Now let me get something straight here I am a huge fan of the Super Mario franchise, and although this movie pretty much stomps on what made the video games a phenomenon it doesn't make for a particularly bad movie. I mean sure it has pretty bad effects and the actoirs don't even sound Itallian and Bowser isn't a huge hulking fire-breathing turtle. But the movie is rather entertaining in a campy cheesey kind of way. It's true that the plot of the movie is all over the place and things just seem to happen for no reason it at least makes more sense than say Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Fans of the series will be happy with cameo appearances of Bob-Omb and the terriblebly animated Yoshi. August 1, 2009

Saw VI - R How many more of these are they going to make? Maybe in the future if 2012 doomsdayers are coo-koo there will be a SawIX. But seriously I hope the franchise just dies here with this installment. August 1, 2009

Brüno (Bruno) - R Bruno is perhaps one of the most offensive and disturbing films ever made. This movie as about 70% homosexual humor, 10% confusion, 10% boring, 5% should I leave the theatre now, and 5% genuine laughs. An example of the laughs is when Bruno is cast as an extra and since he is a bit mentally confused he completely acts out of character in what appears to be a dramatic courtroom scene. And Harison Ford's cameo(if it was him) was hillarious. But like I said a majority of the movie is just pathetic and makes you realize just how easily movies can be garbage like hip-hop and rap is to the music industry. Anybody who wishes to keep their sanity please move along and skip thuis movie entirely. Well it can't even be called a movie. I think this is actually used in Area 51 as a means to extract information from aliens or Al Queda on the where-abouts of their leader. July 25, 2009

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - PG The first thing I need to say is son of a gun, this is the most enjoyable of the pretty much pointless Harry Potter films! After David Yates work on the previous installment of Harry I thought he would also ruin this beloved book as well. But I was wrong this time David Yates takes a cue from the Prisoner of Azkabans work and creates a movie were the characters have depth and the movie is a visual treat. The movie starts out with a wizard terrorist attack like situation that is absolutely incredible. The rest of the film doesn't falter at all it goes from one great scene to another. Although the changes to the ending are a bit frusterating the Half-Blood Prince is a grand visual spectacle of a movie. July 21, 2009

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - PG Easily the best of the Harry Potter abomination movies. Alfonso Cuarón brings a cinematic majesty into the Harry Potter universe unlike what has been done in the previous films, heck it even does better than the future films ion the series. This is really the only Harry Potter movie that is actually fully watchable. The cast does a lot better job than they have ever done in the other Harry Potter films. Simply put "F*#K all the other Harry Potter movies". July 21, 2009

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - PG I actually found this one enjoyable but I wish it could have had the same tone as the Prisoner of Azkaban and the half-blood prince. July 21, 2009
