The Rocky Horror Picture Show
R
I'm not the biggest fan of musicals, but when I heard about The Rocky Horror Picture Show I wanted to see it, because it seemed to be the kind of musical I might like. But I was wrong. I didn't like it. I loved it. It's one of the most unique movies I've ever seen.
Tim Curry's character's, Dr. Frank-N-Furter's first appearence is in my opinion the greatest first appearance of any movie character in every movie ever made. He throws away his cape, and there he is, wearing fishnets and a corset, singing "I'm just a sweet transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania."
I do understand why there are people who hate this movie. It's so weird, crazy, and not that serious. But all that insanity appeals to me, and that's why I've seen this movie four times already, even though I've only owned the DVD for two months. Maybe I'm just insane myself, but if I am it must be because I've done the time warp too many times. One of my favourite movies, and definitely my favourite musical.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
R
I really need to see this movie again because I was so tired when I started watching it that I was half asleep already. And, I missed the last ten-fifteen minutes completely. Damnit.
Daredevil
PG-13
I would've given this movie even lower rating, but Colin Farrell's character Bullseye was just so hilarious I couldn't. When he first took those needles and threw them at that one man's throat, I actually said "Whoa, needles. Lame." out loud. He should have his own movie.
Army of Darkness
R
Wiseman: When you removed the book from the cradle, did you speak the words?
Ash: Yeah, basically.
Wiseman: Did you speak the exact words?
Ash: Look, maybe I didn't say every tiny syllable, no. But basically I said them, yeah.
No Country for Old Men
R
I recently finished reading the book, and even though the beginning was kinda slow, I enjoyed it quite a lot. Can't wait to see the movie version.

Brokeback Mountain
R
This is definitely the best movie I've ever seen, and I find it a bit odd 'cause I usually can't stand any kind of love stories. I have to say it made me a bit depressed 'cause there was no happy ending, but then again - I don't think this would have been such a great movie without the sad ending. One of those very few movies that has actually made me cry, and BBM made me also think about life.

Fight Club
R
I would love to praise this movie from earth to heaven, but I can't. 'Cause the first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club.

The Dark Knight
by GaryWhile I wont go so far as to call this a masterpiece, this exceptional addition to the Batman franchise is a very good film and lives up to some very high expectations. The cast is uniformly great and the action is spectacular. A clever story is well told and the dark noir spirit of the source material is well maintained. Heath Ledger deserves special mention for his brilliant portrayal of The Joker and I loved the Two Face origin story. It perhaps feels about half an hour too long, but it's such a fun ride.
My turn! I don't really need to recommend this do I?
You guys are gonna see it anyway. Great fun!posted 23 hours ago -

Home of the Brave
by DerekThis is not a war movie... it's a movie about war. Home of the Brave has been the best movie to date on the psychological effects our soldiers endure when they return home from Iraq. It's riveting to see the demons they face. Truly inspirational... And don't worry about propaganda because it's neither Pro nor Anti War, the film does a great job of remaining completely neutral.
This film boasts an A list cast with Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Biel, Christina Ricci, Chad Michael Murray, Brian Presley, and 50 Cent, who was surprisingly impressive in this action drama.
Don't be fooled, if you're looking for a movie chalk full of dead bodies, blood, and missing limbs, then this is not for you. The first 20 minutes is intense however (think Black Hawk Down), but the remainder of the movie is deep and touching.A good movie about the effects of the Iraq War. Great acting... I never realized the demons they face when they get home.

Once
by Cruz"Once is an independent film by excellency" and because its indie tone the movie pays-off well, that tone goes along with the sweet&sour theme of the movie. It's a mixture of good things that form a simple story and the simplicity itself is another of its good things. Even the songs are excellent, they play an important role: they tell you how to feel and react to the images or sequences. In other words "Once" is a once in while movie experience!

Rolling Thunder
by JessiA veteran of the Vietnam war comes home to all new horrors that force him to seek revenge, with a little help from some friends.
Absolutely brilliant. William Devane is mad, and its wonderful. The ending of this flick keeps it from falling towards mediocrity.
Delicious grindhouse flick.Took me a while to see this one, but it was worth it. Really fantastic 70s action/drama. William Devane is crazy intense and Tommy Lee Jones is crazy young, so check it out.

The Dark Knight
by MagaliNow this film is just perfect.
The first thing to mention is Heath Ledger performance. Lots of my friends had mentioned this before, saying how great he was and so on an so forth. But I guess that no description can really explain the brilliance of his acting. He's by far, the best joker ever. Just marvellous.
Another one, is.... thanks God!!! Thanks Nolan, or whoever is responsible for that!!! thanks for getting Katie Holmes out!!! Thank you so so much.
And finally.. what can I say? I love Christian Bale as Batman (the best-looking Bruce Wayne in the history). The effects, the action scenes, the funny parts, the script, the visuals in general... everything is nothing but great. Flawless. There's no way you can regret watching this film.

The Dark Knight
by DanielHeath Ledger stole the move as soon as he was on screen and I loved every minute of this movie. It's perfect in every way. Heath should totally win the Oscar and fans of the Batman series: Two-Face is given his proper due and then some. I liked what Tommy Lee Jones did with the character, but this movie takes it to a new extreme. I saw it Thursday at Midnight. See it immediately to see what I'm talking about.
This is the perfect comic book movie. i should know. I am a total comic book fanboy. Anywho, It has the trailer to the Watchmen at the beginning. Expect to be quoting this movie for the next three weeks... easily the greatest movie I've seen in years.

Nell
by GaryJodie Foster proves why she is one of the greatest actors of our time in this beautifully realised adaptation of the play 'Idioglossia' by Mark Handley. Incredible cinematography and heartwarming performances make this memorable drama shine and Liam Neeson is simply charming. The theme of innocence is powerful to behold and without spoiling, I can promise you one of the most satisfying endings you could wish for. Beautiful. Don't miss it!
I know a bunch of you have seen it, but this beautiful showcase of Jodie Fosters talent deserves another watch. If you haven't caught this yet, do yourself a favour.

Undead or Alive
by GaryThis very unusual mix of zombie move, comedy and western makes for an interesting watch, even if the genres don't mix entirely well together. Those who delight in B grade horror will find plenty to enjoy. The comedy sometimes falls flat, but there are some genuinely funny moments too. A relatively unknown cast does alright, but it's the Romeroesque makeup effects that get the real giggles. Dont miss the zombie outlaws penis falling off while he is urinating... nuff said.
This "zombedy" is a weird mix and it won't appeal to everyone, but those who love B grade goofy horror westerns will love it!
