  FanGirl's Rating My Rating
1
Serenity (2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
I'm a Browncoat. What more needs to be said? Oh right, if you haven't seen it, SEE it(I recommend seeing Firefly first, but you don't really have to).
2
Le Pacte des loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf) (2001,  R)
Le Pacte des loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf)
Love this movie!!! I recommend it to everyone.
3
Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) (2006,  R)
Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor)
This is by far one of the coolest, boldests, most imaginative movies I have ever seen. This movie is such a mind bender that it is hard to say much about it. It creates such a full and detailed world, it's stunning to see so much done in just one film, without being over done or jamming too much in. The acting is good especially Konstantin Khabensky as Anton. All I have to say is watch this movie at least twice and in a row if at all possible.
4
The Fall (2006,  R)
The Fall
See this movie!!!

I love, love, love this movie! A visually remarkable film with actual characters and storylines, I was begining to faith that they could be made, but The Fall renewed my faith. The Fall is visually stunning and has not only one fully developed story with fully developed characters but two fully developed stories with fully developed characters. Catinca Untaru, the little girl in the film, gives the greatest and most geniune performance I have ever seen from a child actor. She's the first kid I have honestly really liked in a film.
5
Strictly Ballroom (1992,  PG)
Strictly Ballroom
I have probably watched this movie a thousand times and would be happy to watch it a thousand more. One of my all time favorites.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring
My personal favorite of the triology.
7
The Dish (2001,  PG-13)
The Dish
I'm not sure why I love this movie so much, but I do. It's Australian, it's quiet, and it's brillantly subtle.
8
Moulin Rouge! (2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
One of the most beautiful movies of all time. And of course Ewan McGregor was great in it. Bazz Luhrmann is brilliant.

14
Returner (Ritana) (2002,  R)
Returner (Ritana)
Exceptional Japanese sci-fi film. It's too much fun to explain. I just wish I could find more movies like this one. And it's live action in case you were wondering (I know when I saw the cover I almost passed it by because it looked like it would be animated).
15
The Host (Gwoemul) (2007,  R)
The Host (Gwoemul)
This movie is crazy good. More family dramadey than creature feature, but will please and delight fans of either genre. I can not tell you how incredibly impressed by this film I am. I would have given it a 5 stars if it had had a bit more creature in it or if the crearture had met a different fate at the end. Highly recommend to anyone!
16
Interview with the Vampire (1994,  R)
Interview with the Vampire
I love Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and this is a great adaptation of the first book in that series. It should be no surprise that it stays so true to the characters and story because Ms. Rice is the one that adapted for the screen.
17
A Life Less Ordinary (1997,  R)
A Life Less Ordinary
I know this movie got a bum wrap and maybe it isn't 5 star quality, but I love it anyways.
18
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (À la folie... pas du tout) (2002,  PG-13)
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (À la folie... pas du tout)
A great film, instant favorite. I recommed it to everyone, no matter how you feel about this film in the beginning make sure to watch it at least a little way past half way through and trust me once you make it to half way through you'll know what I mean. Everyone I know who has seen, has loved.
19
Plunkett & Macleane (1999,  R)
Plunkett & Macleane
Stylish and fun! This is one of those movies you either love or hate. I love it. Normally I can't stand periods pieces with a contemporary flair, but this one does it well and doesn't hit you over the head with it. When the chips are down it's more of a period piece than a modern piece, if that make any since.
20
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988,  PG)
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

La Cité des Enfants Perdus (The City of Lost Children)
Awesome French movie. Visually remarkable and a really interesting story to boot. Definately worth the rental fee or price to buy.
25
Delicatessen (1991,  R)
Delicatessen
Jean-Pierre Jeunet might just be a genius. This is a fun and weird movie. It's Jeunet so you know it will be visually rewarding if nothing else, but it is more then just that.
26
The NeverEnding Story (1984,  PG)
The NeverEnding Story
Childhood favorite. Even after all these years still great.
