The Key to Reserva
by GinnLMFAO! I just saw it! BRILLIANT! Scorsese is one darn cookie director!

Scorsese films a "lost" Hitchcock script. A briliant film and a complex homage to Alfred Hitchcock and Bernard Hermmann.

Vampire Clan
by GinnBased on a true story: Quite disturbing, unnerving and mind-wrenching. How a bunch of misfits find each other and end up killing people. Its scary, because youll never know how many sickos there really are in this world. How could these teens have so much lack of better judgement??
For me I just think that this shows how being stupid can be scary. Theres a scene where I found myself very uncomfortable while watching a guy look up to another guy... and suck his blood with so much longing... Its... so... sick... I mean come on how many people have you met that looked up to someone else and followed them around like they were that persons pet dog? and perhaps thats the awkward truth with society, it happens everyday, just not this sick and twisted..
Anyway, 5 stars for making my skin crawl and wracking my brain.

Gangs of New York
by GinnHonestly I dont know much about Americas History, but I do know that non-fiction films like these will never really portray or even be 98% accurate from the real thing, however... I found this movie to be superb. The 1st fight scene showed more like a dance choreography, but the rest were pretty good. If you like watching stuff with lots of moral dillemas, youll like watching this one.
--- I want to get a copy the book where they "loosely" based this movie from.
Awards:
"Gangs of New York won the Golden Globe Award of Best Director - Motion Picture for Martin Scorsese and Best Original Song for the song "The Hands That Built America" by U2. Daniel Day-Lewis won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role & the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. It was nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. However, the film was largely overshadowed by Chicago, which took half of the awards for which Gangs of New York was nominated." - wikipedia
Worth watching, worth collecting, get a copy now!!Hey, you should really see this!

Anamorph
by GinnOMG! I want to see this movie sooo much!! I likey I likey I likey!!

Williem Dafoe plays the reclusive detective in this movie. He is drawn into the case of a serial killer who is enacting anamorphosis - a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective - turning his human victims into sick sculpturesque works of art;
"Detective Stan Aubray (Willem Dafoe) is in charge of investigating and catching a serial killer on the loose in NYC. The elusive murderer arranges his victims in elaborate settings that include clues to his identity. Aubray is confounded not only by the killer, but by his ambitious young partner (Scott Speedman) and a mysterious woman (Clea DuVall) who has ties to his own past." - depplover63

Bangkok Dangerous
by Ginn
Plot: The life of an anonymous assassin takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Thailand to complete a series of contract killings. Joe (Nicolas Cage), a remorseless hitman, is in Bangkok to execute four enemies of a ruthless crime boss named Surat. He hires Kong, a street punk and pickpocket, to run errands for him with the intention of covering his tracks by killing him at the end of the assignment. Strangely, Joe, the ultimate lone wolf, instead finds himself mentoring the young man while simultaneously being drawn into a tentative romance with a local shop girl. As he falls further under the sway of Bangkoks intoxicating beauty, Joe begins to question his isolated existence and let down his guard just as Surat decides its time to clean house.

The Boondock Saints
by GinnWell after years of serching I finally got a copy. Too bad I missed this one back in 1999, wouldve enjoyed it then. I totally understand why they didnt show this in the theaters worldwide, its such a typical "badass is cool" teen typa movie, mindless, stupid gun-totting pap. If youre a bit conservative, this wouldnt be a good movie to watch. Overly exessive cursing.. mindless. absoultely mindless...
On the other hand, whoah damn William Dafoe takes the cake! Awesome acting! --- and the 2 brothers are just a coupla hardknock eyecandies.Mmm.. Not really a recommendation but just sending out my 2 cents, anyway I feel guilty for not sending much lately, ehe.. *grows a halo* >;P'

The Brave One
by GinnI thought it got kind of scarry somewhere in the middle, a few weak scenes in the beginning but once you get past those its all good, those scenes were essential in telling the story anyway. I cried while watching this, teehee, ='>!

The Crow
by Ginn"Fire It Up! Fire It Up! Fire It Up!!"
Just watched it again, after 14 years, back then I never really appreciated this cuz I was a bit too young to understand the story, but damn this move rocked! I dont want to spoil anything for those who havent watched this, but for some odd reason, watching this again (2008) reminded me of a lot of things...
I wonder if The Hardy Boys (WWE) got theirr signature move (the Swanton Bomb) and their getup from this movie. Hmmnn...
Damn this movie had it all, action, cheezy, heroics, vengeance, the damned heartbroken lover, fantasy, and even watching the stupid characters didnt give me a headache.
Im not going to rate this and compare it to todays generation of filmmaking cuz that would be unfair, so Im gonna rate this according to how films were made back then.
This one was rockin awesome!
The soundtrack was cool as hell too, ((STP, NIN, RATM, J&MC, The Cure))
This ones a gold classic!!
Factoid: The movie was based on a comic.Grew up in the 90s? Try to see this then! :)

Bandidas
by GinnA lite & funny, mindless movie. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek in Old Western Mejico.
A rich, pampered, educated chic and a simple yet "quite connected" farm hand girl finds themselves in a situation where they have to work with each other.
Lots of eye candy for the guys and lots of simplistic, slightly idiotic but laughable fun for everyone.
A pretty enjoyable comedy.posted 46 days ago -

The Producers
by GinnPretty kewl for a musical comedy movie. Fun to watch, the first singing scene had pretty shoddy actors but once you get past that its all good and easy to sink into.
Mixes old style type of musical tv shows with broadway.
Wowowee have a load full of Uma Thurmans legs! She is absolutely stunning! (Im not bi, I just have an eye for beauty!) Oh and, I loved the "the Fab 6", (minus the 6th!) lol!!
"Spring time for Hitler and Germanyyyy!!"
"Make it Gay! Make it Gay! Make it Gaaayy!" -- Yeah, found it quite catchy, now I cant get the songs outta my head!
--that scene where they were showing deuchland, reminded me of the nursery rhyme jack and jill??
Just saw clips of the 1968 - The Producers too, not bad either, but ofcourse I think this one is more suited for todays generation.Happy July to Y'all!
Sorry havent been on much to send recommendations, been busy. Hope youre all well! ^_^

Ching din dai sing (A Chinese Tall Story)
by GinnThe some parts of the movie is mixed from Chinese classical novels and literature, so it might be a bit confusing (or even absolutely nonsensical) for those who dont know about it.
Xuanzang (in the story he is called as Tripitaka), is a budhist monk that is on a pilgrimage to india, to obtain Bhuddist religious texts called Sutras. He is accompanied by 3 protectors during his journey, namely Sun Wukong (the Monkey King), Zhu Bajie (the Pig Monk), and Sha Wujing (the Sand Monk).
The story takes place on middle earth, when they arrive in the city of Sache.....
Although the plot displaying on the movie board says that its a love story, honestly, theres so much more to it than that, theres evil tree spirits, a millenium bug deamon (lol crazy !), swarms of bug soldiers, lizard people, imps, and time travelers from the future.
Hawayy! I loved the CGI! It reminded me very much of Final Fantasy slash Stargate slash (Dragon ball Z??!)
Okay so the movie made me cry a bit, ehehe! I wasnt really expecting to be blown away by this, this exceeded my expectations by a mile wide! I was only expecting cheezy comedy when I got this, but lo and behold Im very suprised and quite pleased with this one! :D
Im mighty interested with getting a copy of the Journey to the West (book), all just because of this movie.
Please keep in mind that this movie is, as the title says, A TALL TALE, it is not to be analyzed or taken so seriously. It is after all a chinese comedy/drama/fantasy/sci-fi/action-adventure movie, and their target market included kids. For anyone who works too much, take a break and try to see this :)
