Up (2009, PG)
Pixar has the best batting average for film releases, ALL of their films are amazing and great, I loved all of them. UP is my favorite film of the Pixar cannon. The first 15 minutes of the film alone should garner this film a Oscar Nomination for Best Picture; but the rest of the film is also great and magical. Even the film score by Michael Giacchino is also beautiful and wonderful, and should win a Oscar for Best Score. This is Pixar's best film, period!!! |

Inglourious Basterds (2009, R)
Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! I wanted this film to be great, and it was better than great, it was $%*&@#* awesome!!!! Easily the best film of 2009, and one of the best films of Quentin Tarantino's most impressive carrer. He truly captured both the Italian Western and Italian War genres with this film. All of the performances are great, but Christoph Waltz who plays Col. Hans Landa deserves a Oscar Statuette for his brilliant performance. But kudos should also go out to the writer and director himself, Tarantino. If a writer/director can captivate an American audience with 20 minute long conversations that are spoken in German or French with English subtitles; then he deserves some type of recognition! Tarantino is the freakin' man with making cool and ultra-hip films, bravo Mr. Tarantino, BRAVO!!!!! |
