Bee Movie - PG I watched this as a means to kill time after watching Enchanted, so the hour long wait for Juno would fly by. Easily, the biggest mistake ever. I have never been so angry at a movie before. Every part of this movie gave out a stupid aura. There is a lot more trash I can talk about this movie, so I will. Never in my life have I gotten pissed off at a movie and eventually decided listening to music on my iPod would save me from the bleeding eyes and ears. I can see how this would be entertaining for children, but the point is to make this movie accessible to people of all ages, like Enchanted beautifully did. Basically, in a nutshell, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE!

Apparently, I can't rate lower than a half a star.

Enchanted - PG This might possibly be my new favorite movie, if not, my second favorite! You can't help but fall in love with the cast, especially Amy Adams. You'd be surprised how many references the movie makes to past Disney movies. You can't help but go, "I remember this part from this movie!" and laughing about how it is tied in. The music, although freakishly childish, is refreshingly addictive, and you'll have the songs stuck in your head for days on end. So far, I've watched it twice, and it was a lot funnier watching it the second time. Would I watch it again? Will I buy the DVD? Do I have the soundtrack downloaded? Yes, yes , and yes. I cannot recommend this enough December 21, 2007

Dan in Real Life - PG-13 Best thing about this movie is the credibility of the characters. Watching them feels like you are watching an actual family going through a getaway. You have the overly protective dad, the supportive parents, and the curious siblings/cousins. In a way it shows how small the world is. Though it doesn't have the amount of laughs like in The 40 Year Old Virgin, the laughs are still there and are kept to a balanced amount to fit this film. October 30, 2007

Balls of Fury - PG-13 Hilarious movie driven with typical cliches. Some being the girl being captured then saved, the protagonist winning through some sort of loophole, the works. First of all the jokes and punch lines were really well done in my opinion. the scattered use of "I'm going to Disneyland" kept me laughing. If you like movies that deal with physical pain, watch this movie. If not, well don't even expect much from it. September 2, 2007

Hot Fuzz - R Simon Pegg and Nick Frost make this a really well done comedy. The story was well done, yet random at most times. Like many of my favorite comedies, it brings back jokes or snippets from the movie, such as the Point Break bit. It's not necessarily the funniest movie I've seen, but it's one hell of a joy ride August 28, 2007

About a Boy - PG-13 A really great comedy with Hugh Grant (Music and Lyrics), Toni Collette(Little Miss Sunshine), Nicholas Hoult and Rachel Weisz. Toni Collette and Nicholas have an amazing chemistry on screen and so do Hugh and Nicholas. The story wove together, although somewhat predictable. Easily my second or third favorite comedy so far August 28, 2007

Sin City - R First of all, if you cannot be impressed by the art direction, you should be ashamed of yourself. I liked how the different storylines were narrated by that specific person. The gore is exaggerated, but that didn't set me off that much.I loved how each most of the characters had a specific story about them. August 11, 2007

The Simpsons Movie - PG-13 Basically, The Simpson's Movie is just a 1 hour and 27 minute episode with hardly anything new. Although, it was funny, the expectations for a 13 year old show not met in my opinion. It also gave me the impression that it was taken from a multitude of episodes. The story is immensely predictable, and didn't surprise me at all August 5, 2007

The Bourne Ultimatum - PG-13 this is one hell of a testosterone packed movie! I haven't seen Bourne Identity or Supremacy, so I am expecting to be immensely confused, but surprisingly, I wasn't. Matt Damon, along with Julia Stiles, are excellent and the action does not disappoint at all. All the chase scenes, explosions, fighting are so fun and loud that it gave me a headache. Did I mention that none of this was done with special effects? If the movie ended without the news reporting about Bourne, it would have been a fitting ending, since it left me expecting more. My only gripe with it was that the camera was excessively shaky and left me squinting to see every move. August 5, 2007

Hotel Rwanda - PG-13 Don Cheadle makes yet another hit! The movie is based on Paul Rusesabagina, the assistant manager of the Mille Colline, a hotel in Rwanda. The movie is based off the struggles of Rusesabagina, played by Cheadle, as he struggles to keep both Hutu and Tutsi refugees. At that time, there was a civil war between the Hutu and the "cockroach" Tutsi's. Cheadle plays Paul in such a credible way that you sympathize for the character. The fact that this actually happened adds more sadness to the already gripping story. Hotel Rwanda hits the heart in more ways than one. The only complaint I have with this was that it was too vivid for my eyes. July 29, 2007
