Caffeine (2007,  R)
Caffeine
This is one of my favorite films of all time! Witty & Hysterical. If you like indie films like Buffalo 66, 200 Cigaretts, House Of Yes, Party Girl...this is the flick for you!

The House of Yes (1997,  R)
The House of Yes
When you have a house with 5 insane family members in it, you know it has got to be interesting. The strange mother. The foolish dumb son. The other son who has "some kind of past." The girlfriend who reminds me alot or Cindy Snow from Three's Company. The daughter, who by far is the craziest insane & jealous person you will meet...played by none other than the incredible Parker Posey! The second this film started, I was hooked. If you enjoy independant quirky flims, then this is MUST-SEE! Its twisted, perverted, and in some parts mad. In my opinion, Parker has yet to do a bad movie. But if you are not familer with her work, this is a good one to start with. If you like this, you'll enjoy: Clockwatchers; Party Girl; Misadventures of Margret.

Christopher Guest films are a spectacular collection of hysteria. In the form of John Waters, Guest uses the same cast in his films. Also see "For Your Consideration" & "Waiting For Guffman."

Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg) (1964,  Unrated)
5
Death at a Funeral (2007,  R)

Scenes from a Mall (1991,  R)
Scenes from a Mall
So this is the movie that I discovered Woody. This was my 1st! I loved it for a really long time until I saw other Woody films...but as time has gone on, I find myself falling back in love with this busy couple living in Los Angeles & spending the day at the Beverly Center discussing how screwed their love life is, but at the end of the day, love is way more important.....................or is it!
9
Clockwatchers (1998,  PG-13)
Clockwatchers
I think its kind of a known fact that Temp employees get the short end of the rope. Four women, picked to work in office...they become friends & when something comes up missing in the office, watch what happens when these temps are treated like the bottom of the bucket! This is Parker Posey & Lisa Kudrow at her best!
10
Crooklyn (1994,  PG-13)
11
Shadows and Fog (1992,  PG-13)
12
Sordid Lives (2000,  R)
Sordid Lives
Black comdey about white trash! <---That is the tagline for the film. Every person I turn this film onto, they love it! Cult classic (that became a television show as well) about a family coming to together for their "fast" mothers funeral. Hysterical.
13
But I'm A Cheerleader (2000,  R)
But I'm A Cheerleader
Campy film about a girl sent to one of those make believe places where they "turn a gay person straight." But it is pretty funny. I think Rupaul as the butchy teacher is perfect. Douglas Spain is really good in his character too which is far from his role in Star Maps.
14
Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) (1999,  R)
15
Fame (1980,  R)
Fame
Wonderful classic movie that takes place in New York City about kids attending a school of the arts. As a broadway play, television show throughout most of the 80's, a spinoff titled FAME LA in the 90's, a reality show in the 00's, & now a remake of the original, that should tell you that it is a great film!
16
Pecker (1998,  R)
17
Kung Fu Hustle (2005,  R)
Kung Fu Hustle
Kung Fu Hustle has it all. The landlady makes this entire film a stone gas! The story follows the Axe Gang vs. Pig Sty Valley. The Axe Gang is one of those gangs who is fighting for territory...once they arrive at Pig Sty, things take an interesting turn of events! I can't wait for Kung Fu Hustle 2!
18
Ma Vie En Rose (My Life in Pink) (1997,  R)
19
Super Size Me (2004,  PG-13)
20
Lift (2001,  R)
21
The Red Kimona (1925,  Unrated)
The Red Kimona
This silent movie was considered one of the most controversial of it's time. Even though it was shot in 1925, the story takes place in 1917 about a sinful prostitute that gets aquitted of murder. At the time, the flick was a gigantic box-office success! If you are into silents, this is a great one!
22
Playing Mona Lisa (2000,  R)
Playing Mona Lisa
All-star cast drenched in good writing, & flooded with comedy! Lots of good points are made throughout the entire movie. Storyline is girl loves boy. Boy dumps girl. Girl must pick up the pieces & move on...? EVERY SINGLE ACTOR in this film will carry you through life's little problems in the most humorous way!
23
Star Maps (1997,  R)
Star Maps
Douglas Spain plays a guy living in LA that "sells" Star Maps to anybody "willing to pay." This is a VERY common practice here in Hollywood...but they aren't really selling "star maps." The movie explores the sexual good & bad of living in California. Spain is an excellent actor!
24
High Fidelity (2000,  R)
High Fidelity
My favorite John Cusack flick! He runs a record store & dates several women trying to find love. Lisa Bonet is so beautiful in this film!
25
David & Lisa (1998,  Unrated)
David & Lisa
Huge fan of Kimiko Gelman...she makes David & Lisa a reason to watch. The story is about a really smart guy who fears being touched. Very emotional filck.
26
Dancer in the Dark (2000,  R)
27
Mahogany (1975,  PG)
28
Mother (1996,  PG-13)
29
Dog Eat Dog (When Strangers Meet) (1964,  Unrated)
Dog Eat Dog (When Strangers Meet)
Campy! Silly fun! Jayne Mansfield is worth staring at for the entire 84 minute film.
30
My Best Friend (Mon meilleur ami) (2007,  PG-13)
31
Adrift in Manhattan (2007,  R)
32
I'm Not Scared (,  R)

Why Do Fools Fall In Love (1998,  R)
Why Do Fools Fall In Love
I think I have seen the Frankie Lymon story over 100 times... & I still wonder "Why Do 'FOOLS' Fall In Love"...this is the story of Frankie Lymon & his 3 wives. Boy gets hit songs. Boy marries 3 females. Boy does drugs & overdoses. Females fight over royalties. Very fun movie, especially if you are familer with Frankie's music.
