| Paranormal Activity - R |
I liked this picture. The characters were not memorable so when you got threre knowing they would be dead you didn't feel like a piece of shit. I don't remember any of their names. The guy looked like he worked at a Starbucks and the girl was a podgy verison of a girl who might have been ok when she was in school but now since she has a live-in man she doesn't mind going back for thirds at a pie buffet.
It was a lot of jump-scares which was nice and it had an overall creepy way about it. Nice, happy ending. |

| Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - PG-13 |
Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist was just that. At forty minutes I was swallowing food whole in the hopes it might choke me to death. I have no idea what this movie was about. There was that odd skinny, sleepy eyed kid and the girl that is offensive to look at like she has Andre the giant's disease. I don't know there was a band of gays and the skinny kid gets broken up over his girlfriend (some tart with grey teeth) telling him to kick rocks. And they are Catholic or something. Who the fuck knows. It was like Dhalgren by Samuel R Delany and Donnie Darko after a night in Amsterdam had some love child riddled with AIDS and microencephaly. Hard to follow characters that reminded me of kids I threw debris at in primary school. Listing to and fro to find Fluffy (more gay indie music) and then I guess Nick and Nora get together, I didn't see the end I went to get Taco Bell. Instead of watching this movie get some Taco Bell. The dialogue was just painful, they could have all spoken in text form and it would have been better. I just am so offended by how much this movie was shit. I have never seen a worse anything, car crashes, train crashes, Cambodian holocausts all pale to this offal. Just don't talk to me right now...I'm...I'm too upset. I just want to get a T-800 to go back in time and stomp on the viscous ooze from whence we came so this movie can never be made. |

| Mamma Mia! - PG-13 | It was refreshing and wrought with camp. Amanda Seyfried was lovely but had two giant Scots as her mates, they were more like a backdrop than anything else. It could have also done with more musical numbers by the younger girls, save for the giant Scots, maybe pixie-like Grecian girls. Also her fiancee was a gay. I mean doi. | July 25, 2008 | N/A | |||
| The Happening - R | The Happening is like watching a documentary about bridges. The piece has all the feel of a student film without the eventuality of improvement later in life. The story was a decent, interesting premise but was garnished onto the work like a sprig of kale on a very sad steak. The restricted rating felt tacked on, say a superfluous shot of sweater kittens in a movie about inner-city youths that have to save their hangout from some faceless corporation. The M. Night Shyamalan “twist” was a paltry hint, which left the audience in disdainful murmurs. An anticlimactic ending was the cherry on this sundae of broken dreams and hobo vomit. In summation, fucking lame. | June 17, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Die Flscher (The Counterfeiters) (The Counterfeiter) - R | Amazing story that truly makes one realise that war is not just about bombs and guns. Plus I might be a little gay for Karl Markovics. He was brilliant in Kronprinz Rudolf. | May 18, 2008 | N/A | |||
| Just Visiting - PG-13 | Good movie with very memorable parts. A fish out of water story with low brow humour and Christina Applegate looking like a angel. It really could have been done with less camp and more fart jokes. "Leave nothing for the devil!" | May 18, 2008 | N/A | |||
