Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009, PG)
This was a good movie, but unfortunately it left out a lot from the book. I realize that they couldn't include everything from the book (the movie is already like 3 hours long), but there are some key elements they could have included that would have helped the story make more sense, especially to those who haven't read the book. I mean, they could have at least told WHY Snape is called the "half-blood prince." This movie acts as a good lead-in to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," which is supposed to be divided into two movies because "Deathly Hallows" is such a long book. Hopefully the next two movies will tie up all the loose ends "Half-Blood Prince" leaves out. My suggestion: Read the book before you see the movie--or even after you see the movie; it will make much more sense if you do. |
