My Favorite Movies

Very pioneer in many aspects. Extremely creative and inspiring! I seldom rate a film with 5 stars! This is the first one! No matter how hard Americans and English are trying to hit the box office and award-winning. Many of them just can't reach the fundamental of being a genuine film-maker as Europeans, as money has ruined their talents and aesthetism. Jean-Pierre Jeunet is 'playing' this film (I am using the word 'playing'), twist our stagnant perspective about cinematography and how crazy we can 'play' the typical shots, characters and storyline with crazy ideas dealing with fortuitous circumstances.

Thoughts-provoking. The film tells us timing is essentially important in every life aspects.

Bill Murray and all the actresses are so over-whelming in their performance. We just have to follow his step to trace back his past romances. Life archaelogist.

Ang Lee proves again his talent - bold, prudent and his inner-beauty of interpreting lives and cultures

Another film about life education. Life and death. Very warm and witty. How furtunate the boy could meet such a wiseman in his life. When time has come to tell you that you have to live on your own, how well will you be? When death has come to tell you that you are going to leave your loved ones, how well will you be? French film is always that beautiful and honest telling us about thanatology.

Let it go when you can. Treasure it while you can.

This Italian film conveys a strong message about love, marriage and relationship. It upgrades my perception in general. You just can't reasonize the causes and effects of anythings in this universe. One must be very crystal-clear of whatever decision you are going to make and the risk you are going to undertake. We need a lot of wisdom to be able to manage our knowledge and desire, else our conviction would be running out of our hands and we are lacking of time and energy to get it back to the way we suppose it ' should be' and bang! Your life is completely out of your control which your patience, your love, your values are ALL HIGHLY UNMANAGEABLE BUT YOU HAVE TO UNDERTAKE THIS AFTERMATH. That's why many couples, many families, many people's minds are 'getting old and mind-stagnant' because they have to drain out their energy to 'rethink and to learn again' something they do not aware before when they are young. IN this film, the characters could have another chance by 'getting things right' but in reality, life goes on and time doesn't wait for us to 'get things right back'.

Wisdom is the most important thing in this world.

I don't always watch films such genre but this film is exceptionally heart-capturing! Many good words from wise minds.

The scripts and the acting...hoo! Hardly to breathe...

Young and energetic! The play of cross-culture is vividly entertaining!

Czech's film. I like the movie setting and how did they struggle to live together during the world war. Angle from the countryside was simply breath-taking!

Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, Julie Delphy sang some of the tracks too. Ethan wrote books too. Their dispositions are ... wow!

Very soothing and one of the best scripts I've ever watched. Creative in the way of facial expression as well as the body gestures.
