I love this film so much...it hits such emotional depth and yet remains far from the over-dramatic and is highly original.

Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother) (1999,  R)
Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother)
A Great tribute, beautifully filmed and acted. I'd recommend seeing "All About Eve" before you see this one - you'll better understand the references and certainly appreciate the film itself more.
15
Badlands (1973,  PG)
Badlands
For a film that I started assuming I wouldn't enjoy it, "Badlands" really impressed me. Less focused on the "action" than I expected, it was heavily concentrated on observing its main characters. I love Sissy Spacek as usual and Sheen impressed me with his subtle, quirky characterization. A great character study...thought-provoking.

All the President's Men (1976,  R)

Birdy
I was a little hesitant about the premise when I started to watch this film but it ended up blowing me away, and is definitly a favorite. What isn't this film about? It's great...it might seem straightforward at first but it definitly leaves you thinking at the end. LOVE IT.
