Original premise. . . good acting. . . Alec Baldwin was "off the chain" funny! Steve Martin's talent wasn't fully utilized, however he's very adept at playing the lead or a supporting role. . . Meryl Streep is always on point. . . Good movie.

Overall, I enjoyed this film. RDJ (Holmes) gives another remarkable performance, and the humorous chemistry b/t him and Jude Law (Watson) helped move the film along. Some of the action scenes were spaced too far apart, and RDJ's rapid-fire British accent was difficult to understand at times. Still, the cinematography was "off the chain!"
Holmes' foppish swagger and superior intellect made class and sophistication actually look cool. . . an aspect of male character sorely missed in the days of "skinny jeans" and split verbs.
