This is definitely one of my new favorite movies. While sometimes the script was corny or overly ambitious, some serious themes are explored here. The Gaia philosophy--the belief that earth itself is one spiritual entity made up of distinct, separate organisms--is behind the religion and acts of the alien race. Ideas like corporate greed and degradation of the natural environment are apparent, and their negative externalities are captured masterfully by Cameron. While I did not like the oversimplification of Native American culture which was apparent in the depiction of the Na'avi, it was a useful plot device so that audiences could relate to the semi-human aliens. The motion capture of emotion on the CG creatures' faces was superb. This was definitely the finest animation I have ever seen! The 3D really adds an element of realism which I have never experienced in a film before. By the end of the film I just wanted to stay on Pandora! Overall, the movie was a masterpiece. Despite the negative criticism, Cameron has created a mind-blowing action epic with a powerful and emotional message relevant to our culture and our times.

I don't have to write down here how awesome this movie was. Quite possibly the best IP reboot since Batman Begins. In a comic book-esque twist, the producers of Star Trek have paved the way for a slew of awesome new movies based on the time-tested franchise. Action was EPIC!

Highly Entertaining. While at some points the lapses in action leave you wondering when you get another (awesome) kill, the hilarious jokes and ridiculously epic finale make this film an instant zombie classic.
