Religulous
Although I am not as virulently anti-religion as Bill Maher, this movie does a good job of attacking the hypocrisy and downright idiocy of many "true believers." Unfortunately, most people who will see this film are already part of the "choir."

Trouble the Water
An excellent, moving film that will anger, sadden, and ultimately inspire the viewer. Much has been said about the quality of the camera-work; more important, however, is not HOW it was filmed, but the images captured on the film itself, and what is represented by those images. I will definitely be rooting for this amazing film to take home the Oscar for Best Documentary.

Sex Positive
Not necessarily the best film I've seen this year, but probably the most important one. All LGBT youth should see this film.
