This Is Spinal Tap - R Farking hilarious.

Talk about mud-flaps, this film's got 'em...

Dark City - R Severely under-rated movie with great leads in Rufus Sewell and Jennifer Connelly and superb supporting turns from William Hurt and Richard O'Brien.

Why Alex Proyas hasn't gone onto biigger & better things (a la Tim Burton) is beyond me.

Super Troopers - R Anyone who didn't laugh at the bear-f*cker scene could well be dead. Brainless fun, but fun nonetheless! October 26, 2007

Young Frankenstein - PG One of the best comedy films ever made. Marty Feldman as Igor steals practically every scene he's in, and Gene Wilder turns in what could be his best performace ever. October 26, 2007

History of the World -- Part I - R Stupid, puerile, and downright piss-your-pants funny.

Sit down with some rolling papyrus and take it in with a pinch of salt.

Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu, a Symphony of Horror) (Nosferatu the Vampire) - Unrated Groundbreaking silent horror from 1922 that, 85 years on, still gives people the serious creeps.

I had to watch this during the day for fear of doubling my laundry load for the month. (Yes, that's right, 1 pair of grundies which get turned inside out at mid-month...)

L.A. Confidential - R Seriously slick and effortlessly stylish crime drama set in 50s L.A. that keeps you gripped from the outset. First class direction and inspired performances (most notably from Crowe and Basinger) make L.A. Confidential very much a must-see movie. October 26, 2007

Titanic - PG-13 I would actually rather volunteer for experimental arse surgery from a blind chainsaw-wielding trainee surgeon than watch this steaming pile of dangleberries again.

The half a star is for turning Leonardo Di Craprio into an ice lolly.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End - PG-13 Surreal and confusingly nonsensical in places, and not the greatest end to the series. That said, it could be worse. It could be Cutthroat Island, for instance...

Watchable.

Pulp Fiction - R There isn't much to say about this movie that hasn't already been said. Perfect story-telling by a writer at the very top of his game. An absolute must-see. October 25, 2007

Total Recall - R Legendary film!

"Get your ass to Mars, get your ass to Mars, get your ass to Mars, get your ass to Mars..."

Gattaca - PG-13 A slick, well-crafted and genuinely thought-provoking movie. Even Jude Law cranking his 'smug-gittishness' levels up doesn't manage to ruin this one.

Top stuff.

Blazing Saddles - R "Now go do...that voodoo...that you do...so WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!"

Utter comedy gold.

Batman - PG-13 Sublime, original direction from Tim Burton, first-class score from Danny Elfman, and top-drawer performances from Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson.

Awesome.

Die Hard - R Quite simply the greatest all-out action film of all time.

"Welcome to the party, pal!"
