Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. What a revision of a movie that wasn't stupendous into something that (despite being quite similar) was given an extra flare. That flare was all that was needed to put this on my top 10 of all time. For serious. It's that sad. That riveting. That sexual. That funny. That fucking good.
The Prestige

The real trick is the film. All three acts of the movie are described as the acts of magic tricks- the Pledge, showing us normal guys, normal magicians. The turn- some things start happening to make us question if this is really just card tricks and angry egotistical guys, and finally the Prestige with... The whole end result. We're told how everything is going to play out in the opening words. We just don't know it.
