after sorting ot all the xmas bumpf, with everyone in bed on xmas eve. i decided to have 90mins of me time and a beer before the madness of families and xmas took over... well what a treat this was, 80's BRITISH horror, ok its not the best plot in the world, but nice and gorey, strange characters (i love british horrors) and a touch of flesh here and there. this hit the spot perfectly.. shame it seemed to be mastered from vhs as it deserves a better release than this

not as creepy as the hype would have you believe cos its pretty slow the first 30-40 mins but yes there are some really chilling moments. katie featherston is very convincing. and after you've seen it you'll spend some time thinking about it. **spoiler alert** (( it seemed to me that the noises they hear everynight is what is going to happen, it builds up the nearer they get)) i prefered this to other recent creepy films such as .rec. not sure i'd pay for the dvd but great effort. i bet it was excellent to see before the hype. i'm glad chose the ending they did not the alternate one i've seen
