My Favorite Movies

1
300 (2007,  R)
300
Epic, gigantic, raw and brutal.
Znack Snyder did a wonderful piece of art and the few historical mistakes count for nothing.
Best movie 2007 !
2
The Hunt for Red October (1990,  PG)
The Hunt for Red October
One of the best movies ever made, with a well picked cast and a plot close enough to the novel (instead of other movies basing on Tom Clancy's novels).
Sean Connery as submarine captain Marko Ramius is one of the best actor/character choices I've ever seen, though I wished, Harrison Ford would have played Jack Ryan.
3
Der Name der Rose (The Name of the Rose) (1986,  R)
4
Blade (1998,  R)
Blade
This is IT! If I ever were to name a movie that burned itself in my mind then I definately come up with this.
Wesley Snipes, the Daywalker, is the ultimate anti-hero and the coolest slayer ever shown in a motion picture. You've GOT to see this, but gimme a call, so I can join ;)
5
The Fast and the Furious (2001,  PG-13)
6
Die Hard (1988,  R)
7
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
No review necessary, for this is one of the greatest movies ever made. Either you know it or you missed it!
8
Ong-Bak (Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior) (2005,  R)
Ong-Bak (Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior)
Like the trailer promised, Asia sent his new dragon.
Tony Jaa does the most incredible and impressive martial arts, I've ever seen and if you believe the Making Ofs, then it is all done by himself and w/o wires.
This is a definate must-see!
9
The Protector (Tom yum goong) (Warrior King) (2005,  R)
The Protector (Tom yum goong) (Warrior King)
Tony Jaa is back with another package of insane martial arts stunts. The story is as flat as OngBak but the fighting scenes were trying hard to surpass the first Muay Thai Blockbuster.
I espacially liked the Capoeira vs. Muay Thay fight and the scene "how-to-break-50-legs-in-120-seconds".
10
District B13 (Banlieue 13) (2006,  R)
District B13 (Banlieue 13)
What can I say? If David Belle, father of The Parkour himself, is starring in a movie next to Cyril Raffaelli, then there's nothing less to expect than 100% action with a lot of cool stunts.
Just watch the movie and enjoy.
11
Black Hawk Down (2001,  R)
Black Hawk Down
Without exaggeration this movie can line up itself with the great ones, like Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket.
Based on true events, the pictures ban you into your seat, providing an oppressive view on modern conflicts.
The actors were trained pretty good, camera is pretty good, sound, directing, everything.
Dont miss this one.
