Some Like It Hot
Personally, I love this film! Marilyn Monroe, while no Audrey Hepburn, is still a powerful actress in this time period due the sex appeal she ooze’s. Paired up with great actors Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, this humorous trio weaves us through a wonderfully executed plot. Curtis and Lemmon must hid from the mob in this film and to do so they disguise themselves as women playing in an all-female band. However, when Curtis meets Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe) he finds that leading a double life as women and man is not as easy as you would think! I have visited Coronado Beach in California where this movie was filmed and was really impressed by the location. My personal e-mail is actually named after Marilyn Monreo’s character in this film- sugarcane59- the 59 being for the release date. =) Overall, I really enjoyed this over the top at times comedy!
