Chôjikû yôsai Macross: Ai oboeteimasuka (Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?) movie poster
This film is definitely one of the top five anime feature films ever produced. Beautiful art, Great score, and solid story. Do You Remember Love is perhaps the very zenith of the Macross franchise.

Macross II The Movie 1995,  PG)
Macross II The Movie movie poster
Some people argue over the continuity of the film(which was made years before the two canonized sequels) Despite the argument over its place in the Macross continuity, the film is still a good watch. I prefer the music in this one to other Macross titles, the art, sadly, hasn't aged as well as DYRL has.

Kidô keisatsu patorebâ (Mobile Police Patlabor) movie poster
Much more serious than the TV series. This film tended to drag at times, but ive not seen a Mamoru Oshii that didn't drag at some point, and ive yet so an Oshii film that wasnt good. Once the action picks up toward the end, though, it doesn't stop

Sars Wars: Bangkok Zombie Crisis (Khun krabii hiiroh) movie poster
Probably the most absurdist movie i've ever seen, spoofing zombie films, star wars, kung fu movies, disaster flicks... you name it- SARS wars takes it on. the only thing is that it get almost too crazy at the very end.

Though not the first, this is the one that put Zombies on the map. A prime example of an original grindhouse film.

Mastsumoto's greatest work in my mind, adapted into a feature film. Elegant character designs and beautiful animating really drive this one home. A must see for fans of anime... assuming you ever find a copy

Zeiramu (Zeram) (Zeiram) movie poster
One of Keita Amemiya's masterpieces. The designs for Zeiram were amazing, sadly the guy in the suit didn't have very convincing movements. Great Sci-fi film from Japan.

Iria: Zeiram the Animation 1993,  R)
Iria: Zeiram the Animation movie poster
This film is an animated Prequel to Keita Amemiya's Zeiram films(hence the subtitle) This was the the third anime I saw, and easily my favorite. The film is really 6 45 minute episodes Pretty much has everything in it but a love story. Action, Comedy, Drama, Gorgeous Heroin, and an evil monster that can not be killed. If you've never seen anime before, I say this is where to start.

all jokes about Reubens' personal habits aside, this film is one of those overlooked hits that no one wants to talk about. An interesting film from tim burton, as his films generally have had a darker feel.
