I first saw this movie when I was a kid. It blew my mind then, and it continues to do so to this day. The storyline is incredible and speaks to our human frailty and weaknesses. We take life for granted, but the Replicants, who only have a lifespan of a few years, treasure life and try to experience in less than ten years what we go through in a lifetime. Too bad they think that murdering others is okay so long as it prolongs their own lives! My favourite quote? "It's too bad she won't live - but then again, who does?" - Gaff It's wild to view Ridley Scott's vision of a dystopic future, where pollution has darkened the skies and the gap between rich and poor is very pronounced. This movie is worth watching over and over again. It was the movie that made me a Rutger Hauer fan. If you see it, make sure you view the Director's Cut instead of the original version.
