have seen this in the same year 1996.. rememeber that cuty boy n ugly poor girl try to get along~

touching story, loved the point of view of little girl and a lady. this simple but amazing black n white animation will make you think about how the other world is like seriously.
maybe you won't be a fan of Shrek forever!

my first time movie of Mr.Menzel's films.
good starting, fun to watch tiny waiter's successful life story(?!) with its special satire of the reality during that era.
