Great stuff! Action packed, Bay does love blowing stuff up but you care about the characters. Shia LaBeouf is the best thing since sliced bread!

Excellent - funny but also sobering. Tom Hanks & Philip Seymour Hoffman outstanding. It looks like they pulled the plug at the end though as they didn't make much of the fact that the US always goes in to destroy their enemy (in this case the Soviets) but doesn't stay to clean up after.
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth)

Part fantasy, part harsh reality - set in the context of the Spanish Civil War. It is very brutal in parts but also beautiful. One of my favourite films for 2006.
