This movie is so fowl and disturbing that it really is unbearable to watch the whole thing..I honestly don't know how I did it. It lift me with nothing but a stomach ache..as if I drank a gallon of spoiled milk...and trust me like drinking spoiled milk..watching this movie made me want to throw up..blah..
Many people will go on and on how this is the best love story of all time...well I couldn't agree more. The performance by Shane West was so brilliant, it made the story ever so much more precious. This movie is like the wind..it carries you through the most amazing journey of a love that could only be found in a dream and making it become reality.
It starts out slow in the beginning and then picks up way too much speed in the end..it could have been evened out a little more, but the plot and characters and the many viewpoints made in the movie was really quite good.
I just didn't get it...nothing really can describe this..this thing...the whole plot and characters really didn't make much sence. Bloom's character is wanting something better and new as is the viewer..but unlike his character..the viewer never finds it.
I'm dying to know if Ledger is as good as everyone tells me...just from the few clips I've seen..if he's deserving of an Oscar or not...the movie alone has got to be awesome.
Excellent horse movie, the leading character Katy was so different from most in movies like this one. I really liked her, her persistent attitude and inspiring determination made the story all the more touching and kept you pulling for her throughout the movie.
I felt that the plot and characters and the performance of those characters were great for the present time of the movie, but everything of the same for the back in time period was ridiculously bad. The biggest mistake was giving the girls who really don't have acting talent in the first place rolls that give them accents. One of the worst possible combinations for someone to do in movies. Just not good enough of a movie for Kathy Bates to be in, but in the case of Mary Stuart Masterson..I say the movie and her performance deserved each other.
I had heard nothing but good about this movie...thinking it was a must see despite Nicholson but I thought it had to be at least half-way desent considering Freeeman was the other leading character. Half-way desent was about right. Many parts were amazingly performed and were either incredably funny or unbelievably sad and heart-wrenching. But the parts in between were just...nothing.
A quant romantic comedy that really shows the talent of surprisingly funny Diaz and Winslet. Their characters are both quite different in just about every assect but both showing there equally humorous talent of performing clumsiness. The storyline is unique and interesting and the many surprises that appear come when you least expect it. Very well done in all areas.
This is not your ordinary romantic comedy..the plot is so incredably different from anything else. It has the missing piece that every other movie such as this can't seem to find, and the corner edges that complete the entire thing is Will Smith. He is truly remarkable and down right hilarious.
A magnificently mysterious wonder of a movie. It's undescribeable, you kinda get the feeling on what will happen but you are never quite sure. The child's (Evan) character was like sparks of magic that begin like sprinkles of dust and rise to bright and glorious fireworks. The story is touching and the music is like a rush of august air...breathetaking.
Quite different subject than that of the many other 60's love stories, but it was similiar in other prospective. It could have way shorter...the entire near two hours are just about parents not agreeing with a marriage,in fact, the speech given by Tracy near the end sumed up the whole movie and the speech was only say 10 minutes. Tracy was indeed good as was Poitier, but to me Katherine Houghton (Joanna) gave the best stand out performance. It was good, but all the recognition it received was I think only because the unbelieveable topic of the film.
