This one is truly a "Romantic" move for the romantic at heart. This is my favorite Romantic comedy of all time and despite the silly and sugary plot line, Cusack and Beckinsale's performance put the"magic" into the movie. A touching story that will move anyone and it makes a great date movie too.
They don't make comedies like these much anymore ("An American Carol" would be an exception). I LOVE these types of movies. Most of today's comedies are "crap" I think.
"It's a lovely movie Bruce! Thank ya Bruce,I liked it too! No kidding Bruce, I went and saw it with my sheila, Sheila! No way, didja really Bruce? That's rawt!" This one will leave you rolling on the aisles.
Not as funny as the other three Python films, but definately "something completely different" with some great sketches; unless of course, you don't want to be seen.
After a long drought, the "Naked Gun" type of movie is back and with a bang. This one would offend many muslems I would think, especially at the beginning, but I say, "lighten up people, it's only a movie!"
Not the best performances, that's true, but the story was terrific and their were alot of very funny moments and one liners. Moore reminded me a bit like "Arthur" in this one, but just a bit.
I heard that Nicholson has or had "anger management" issues in real life (with a baseball bat I believe); how ironic. This was a very funny movie which makes fun of anger management in a way.
"Here's lookin' at you movie fans" because this is a classic tear jerker from WW2. Bergmen and Bogart share great chemistry on screen. If you hadn't seen this one, try and watch it; after all, "we'll always have tomorrow" to see it.
"The Longest Day" maybe one of the "longest" war movies ever made, but I no "longer" care about it just so "long" as the movie was engaging me for "long" periods of time (which it did by the way). John Wayne was terrific and I no "longer" see him playing only westerns any "longer". Just so as "long" as you see my point.
One "Tora-riffic" movie. The action sequences were amazing and I also learned a few facts about Pearl Harbor that I never new before when I first saw this movie (like that the U.S. knew at one time that an attack was iminent--WOW!).
"Well I'll tell ya pilgrim...", this was one fine move. Hepburn and Wayne seemed to click amazingly well (chemistry wise) and I loved the story. The continuity was terrific and so was the scenery.
Yes, I know, a plane that can fly by itself. Well, go see "Eagle Eye" and see another silly premise type of movie. Yet, both of these movies kept me enthralled and entertained. The action sequences in Stealth was amazing and the acting wasn't to shabby either.
I have seen this one twice and it is makes "grand" entrance with a superb cast and great dramatic sequences. I had a "grand" time watching it, but not in a hotel.
Use the "force" people to watch this movie for generations to come. I remember when this movie first came out in 1977; I saw it FIVE times. It changed movie making forever, especially in the SCI-FI department.
After the original, this one will always be my favorite. It has everything that the original had; the ending may have not been my favorite, but this one is well worth watching over and over again.
A stunning piec of "Sci-Fi" work and Dreyfuss was terrific in it. The way the UFO theme was impressive and dwelved into the minds of peoples imaginations everywhere (it made tons of money).
What were the producers thinking when they made this piece of "cinematic brilliance" (NOT!). One of the worst movies I've ever been witnessed too. Not even worthy of watching on a bad movie night.
"I am Lost" at how they could make a movie like this. The script was badly written and total waste and Will Smith was a wasted talent in this movie as well. I found it very boring and was disappointed in now it was presented. God knows how Hancock will fare when I get a chance to see it.
I didn't think the producers and director could pull this one off (eight different scenarios),but I give them credit; they did it and it works (for me anyway).
An odd movie for Julia to do and one of her most disappointing to my mind. I noticed, that she didn't have much of a role in this movie compared to other movies and there was way to much focus on the "dreaming" as opposed to the point that the producers were trying to get across. Less focus on the characters made this one a disappointment for me.
PEWW! The original with Henry Fonda was far superior. This movie looked like it was written in a day with the script they came up with. Movie went way to fast and again, they tried way to hard with the humor. Stick with Ball and Fonda.
I remember seeing this one when it came out and it's still funny today as it was back then. Alot funnier then the comedies of today which I think still TRY TO HARD with the humor.
Thrilling and chilling. I remember seeing this one in the theater and I was never afraid to go into the water like some people did. Gave the "shark" a bad name rep though.
BOMB CITY! Williams was terrific as Popeye and Shelley Duvall was equally impressive as Olive Olye, but the script sounded if the movie had been written in 20 minutes at a grocery store trip to buy spinach.Avoid this one if you can, please!
"Hooray for Harryhausen" and the spectacular scenes in this classic. Not as brilliant and as effective graphically as Jason and the Argonauts, but still well worth the look for the entire family.
I enjoy Aniston's work and I'm glad to see that she's doing different movies other then the "girlfriend" type of film. This film was touching (especially the ending) and heartwarming. Never mind some of the sexual content anyway; kids ask about that anyway, don't they?
"Mamma Mia!" I love ABBA and I loved this movie. The music and story lines were amazing. The tempo was upbeat and inspiring throughout the entire movie. It's a shame that Brosnan can't sing because he can sure use some lessons.
"A movie named Desire" in my opinion. This one is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again. So, "Stella! Come and watch this movie with me. Stella! Did you hear me or do I have to take my shirt off and come and make you watch this movie with me!"
Slam, bam, thank ya ma'am! I've seen all of the Bond flicks and there isn't one bum in the lot. Although I think this guy is the weakest link in the Bond actors sheme of things.
You don't have to be a Rowling follower to see this movie. The graphics and effects are amazing and the story is pretty good and not that difficult to follow. A little long in the mouth (terms of length), but still fun to watch.
I haven't seen "Dark Knight" yet and I heard it's far superior to this one, but I've seen all the others and this by far is the best. I especially enjoyed learning about Batman's childhood.
I think "Batman and Robin" really laid a couple of eggs when they made this one. Poor script, acting and story line made this one uncomfortable to watch. This one really laid a goose egg.
Have ya got a heart, a brain and the nerve to avoid this one? Then by all means, please do. One of Ferrel's worst movies of all time. The acting was apalling and the story decrepit and unorginal. Boring!
I couldn't "pin down" any reason why I would watch this movie. Jack Black was awful and I think is very underrated as an actor, but has done better movies as late (GO JACK!). The story was terrible and I' ve seen other wrestling movies that were more entertaining. Avoid this one.
Some funny moments, but this one could have been written a whole lot better and the casting could have been better as well. Not much of a "splash"in my books.
"Heeere's a great movie!" Nicholson shines as the psycho out after his family in this classic from the 70's. Thrillin, chilling and penetrating that will shock the heebie jeebies out of you.
One of Elvis's worst movies ever made (wooden acting with a wooden script to match). The music was the only positive thing about this more then umemorable flick. Love his music and musical talent though.
A charming, enjoyable movie that will make you wanna "wash that grease right out of your hair". Great for the whole family, although it could be a bit shorter.
Believe it or not, I liked this one "a bit better" then the original, but not by much. The action was great and Bullock was terrific, but the cruise liner scene towards the end going through the marina? Oh well, there goes the neighborhood I suppose.
OUCH! What were they thinking when they made this mess. The timing for humor delivery was awful and this was not one of Mathau's most memorable performances. To bad they had to come up with a sequal.
"That's Frank-en-steen" (from "Young Frankenstein"). I really loved this classic based on Mary Shelley's book. It's not frightening at all; more warm then anything else. A winner!
