I was pleasantly surprised with this movie! Awesome action and had me gripped from beginning to end. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen. A MUST if you enjoyed The Matrix and John Woo movies....
Based on a true story, I loved this movie. Beautifully shot, sensitive script without being cheesey; this movie is not only about the art of Muay Thai but also about a person being true to themselves despite all the odds. The boxing scenes are brilliant as the main actor is a real champion kick boxer in real life. His acting is superb considering that he is straight and had to learn how to be a woman. See it if you can, you will not be disappointed.
Oh my God, this movie was painfully boring!!! I left after 1.5 hours...yes the acting was superb but the script totally sucked. Lots of riding about on horses and 'artistic' blurring of the lense at the edges when it was a 'memory' sequence....gawd what a disappointment....the most entertaining part of the entire evening was the couple sitting 2 rows in front of me who were into thier snogging...guess they weren't getting into the movie either....this takes credit for the 2nd movie I have walked out of ever...the first being An Ideal Husband with Rupert Everett and Minnie Driver. The 1/2 star is for the snogging couple 2 rows in front! Rock on!
