The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
The other two were great, but this one was pretty much the pinnacle of moviemaking. Enough said.

North & South
Oh my holy crap, this movie is absolutely beautiful. Besides Richard Armitage's extreme wonderfulness, the movie follows the book well, and the things it diverts from make sense. It's a fantastic adaptation of the book and it has a gorgeous soundtrack to boot. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (2005,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
Absolutely incredible. It put the old animated one to shame. Excellent acting, CG, costumes, music, screenplay, and of course a beautiful story. Very well-done rendition of CS Lewis's book.

Amazing Grace (2007,  PG)
Amazing Grace
Okay, I totally went to see this movie just because Ioan Gruffudd was in it, and I was so happy I did. It was a beautiful story and the acting was incredible. I loved it.
5
Nicholas Nickleby (2002,  PG)
Nicholas Nickleby
One of the few book-to-movie adaptations that was better than its inspiration. Loved it. Paced well, beautifully shot, good story.
6
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Best Harry Potter movie ever. I hated all the others, except three, which I only tolerated. This one was most excellent. Great acting, impeccable screenplay, good pacing, and, of course, beautiful special effects. The changes were perfect and made the movie more cohesive and quicker than the book was. Very well done.
7
Pride and Prejudice (2005,  PG)
Pride and Prejudice
Like LOTR, it actually improved upon the book's weaker points. I love it!
8
Sleeping Beauty (1959,  G)
Sleeping Beauty
My all-time absolutely favorite Disney show ever! I watched it every day when I was wee. Still love it!
9
Jane Eyre (,  Unrated)
Jane Eyre
Since I love the book so much, I'm glad that it mirrored the plot so closely. I just wish that at the end they wouldn't have left out a couple of minor details.
