| Three Idiots - Unrated | I really loved this movie! Aamir Khan is really great. He delivers nothing but the best. The whole cast is just amazing. It's great seeing some of the gang from 'Rang De Basanti' together again. This movie, just as that one, is really well acted. Madhavan and Sharman are great in their roles too. Through their performances in their roles is how you get involved in the story. Their conveyance of the love that their characters have for their missing buddy is that you get involved in the story from the beginning. They lay the foundation for the great acting to come later in the movie. Kareena and Aamir look cute together especially in the song 'Zoobi Doobi'. Kareena Kapoor does a great job as Aamir Khan's leading lady and I don't even know what to say about Boman Irani. He was just something else in this movie. Really great acting! The story is just a great journey that you get to live as the main characters remember it and catch you up on and then get to live with them as they finish it. I thought the story was great. I loved this movie because of the wittiness that is embedded in the story along with humor and serious incidents. The story is very real and that's what made it great. The movie makes you laugh and cry. I know that sounds so cliche but it's the truth with this movie. A lot of the emotions conveyed and that get you involved in the story are due to Aamir's great performance. All in all, this is classic Aamir. He can do no wrong. He does one film a year but he makes that one really count as this one does!! | January 1, 2010 | N/A | |||
| Paa - Unrated |
I was pleasantly surprised by 'Paa'. I admit that I was skeptical about the story of 'Paa'. That mainly stemmed from the new type of role that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was taking on but I just have to say that there is a reason why that man is a LEGEND. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan does an excellent job in the role of Auro, a boy with progeria. When you first see Auro in the movie, you completely forget that it's Big B. He does a great job of bringing life to the sweet, intelligent, mischievous, and playful Auro. Auro melts your heart the first time you see him just as it happens with Abhishek's character Amol. Abhishek and Vidya are cute together. They both do great jobs of offering acting wise what is needed for both of their characters. I loved Abhishek's character for being the unsuspecting father in angst over decisions he's made in life. He's great as Amol and plus he's gorgeous when in serious thought as his character is constantly in during the movie. (Actually Abhishek is gorgeous at anytime!) Vidya also does a great job in her role of the woman who has to make the right decisions that benefit her and Auro. 'Paa' is such a sweet movie. Definitely a tear jerker! |

| De Dana Dan - Unrated | This movie was hilarious!!! I could not stop laughing throughout this whole movie. I definitely left the theater with a sore throat and a headache from laughing so much.This is classic Akshay! Akshay Kumar is hilarious when doing comedy. I love seeing the jodi of him and Katrina Kaif. They make a great onscreen pair. The only thing that was confusing at times was the multiple characters that you had to keep up with in the story. However, that wasn't such a huge problem that it prevented you from enjoying the movie.The cast is simply great for their wonderful comedic timing. The music and dance numbers are very enjoyable. Great watch for having plenty of laughs! | December 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Long, Long Trailer - G | I loved watching this movie simply because it is Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. It's like a longer version of an 'I Love Lucy' episode, which I love, but in COLOR!! Very cute and funny movie! | December 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Kurbaan - Unrated |
I thought this movie was awesome. I never saw "New York", so to the comments that it's a poor ripoff of that movie I say whatever. I loved how this movie dealt with a very real and controversial topic. The movie itself was just very real and I liked that. The acting by both Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan was amazing. Saif Ali Khan brought so much depth to a complex character. There were times when you didn't know what to think or feel about Ehsaan and those emotions were very well conveyed through Kareen Kapoor's acting as Avantika. I liked seeing her in this role because it was very different than the roles she usually takes on. Vivek Oberoi was great as well. I'm not really a fan of his but I have to admit that his acting was remarkable. He does a great job of bringing to life the character of the one who wants to set everything right. He does the 'knight and shining armor' role justice. Finally, Om Puri and Kirron Kher did superb jobs as the leaders of the pack. Kirron Kher especially for her amazing acting that leaves you with your jaw on the floor. That is also due to the incredible story and the many twists it has. I love how the story manages to sneak in a love story amidst the turmoil that exists in these characters' lives. Bottom line, this is a amazing suspenseful thriller with heart. |

| Paranormal Activity - R | This movie was too much. I don't normally watch horror movies and this movie is the reason why. In the beginning the movie was slow. It took awhile for the good stuff to start happening. Then after freaky things start happening at night, there's no need for the daytime scenes. They're a bore. The main characters are annoying at points and I was glad to get the night scenes where they weren't talking. There should have been more scenes at night. About the night scenes when Katie and Micah are sleeping, my friend and I wondered why in the world would they sleep with the door to their bedroom open after seeing what happens. I guess that adds to the creepiness of the movie. I especially thought the ouija board scene and the one where Katie would stand at the foot of the bed were extremely scary. Disturbingly scary. I can't sleep at night still without picturing Katie covered in blood or standing at the side of the bed. SCARY!! All in all, this is a good movie to experience with friends or theater full of people because it makes it so much more fun. I had a blast watching it with my friend in a theater full of people but I won't probably seeing it again, too scary for my preference. | November 18, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Nanny Diaries - PG-13 | The movie is nothing special. Just love watching Chris Evans!! | November 18, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Run Fatboy Run - PG-13 | Hilarious! Simon Pegg is great as always. The story is cute while still being effectively funny. The supporting cast is good as well. Mr. Goshdashtidar is awesome as the coach. Good funny movie! | November 18, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Michael Jackson's This Is It - PG | Loved it!! It was all bitter-sweet though because of everything that could have been. I enjoyed being able to go behind the scenes of the concert making process and see MJ perform his greatest hits. However, I found myself getting very angry during the movie because that man was a GENIUS and to have his life end suddenly was really a loss. This movie gives you the chance to witness MJ's extraordinary talent for the last time. It is quite an experience! | November 18, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Toy Story 2 - G | Love this movie. Just recently experienced it in 3D and it was even better than 2D. Same GREAT movie just in 3D, which was NICE! I had forgotten how cute Tom Hanks sounds as Woody and how funny he and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear are. Love the additions of Jessie and Bullseye as well as other characters in this movie. The most touching part and that always gets me is the Jessie montage with the Sarah McLachlan "When She Loved Me". It's such a sad song. I loved the whole double feature experience especially the intermission. It makes you feel like a kid all over again. | October 6, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Dil Bole Hadippa! (My Heart Goes Hooray!) - Unrated | LOVED IT!! I had been waiting to see this movie for weeks before it premiered so I was excited to see it. Even though I was excited, I was a bit skeptical or concerned about how a plot that is funny in the west, the movie was based on "She's the Man", would translate into a movie in the east, especially in India with audiences being more conservative. I thought that the idea of a woman dressing as a man would not be well received or even come off right onscreen. However, I was wrong. The movie was GREAT. Rani Mukherjee did an excellent job as both Veera and Veer, funnier more so as Veer than Veera. She was hilarious as Veer Pratap Singh. I loved how the movie had so many inside jokes or references to other movies such as Veer Zaara with the inspiration for Veera's alter ego and the scene where Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) and Veera (Rani Mukherjee) act out several famous scenes from the other Hindi movies. Shahid Kapoor was amazing. He played the brooding jock with substance role very well and looking HOT! The pairing of Rani and Shahid is great and I wonder why they haven't done a movie before. They look great together. They have great chemistry and both look hot. I really got an understanding of cricket from this movie. I don't know if informing people who don't know much about cricket was one of its intentions but this movie did that for me. I had never seen cricket played or knew how it was played but this movie made it understandable for everyone, fans and non-fans. The story of the movie is very well adapted which was a great surprise. One of the best parts of the movie aside from the story and acting has to be the music. The music is AWESOME. The music alone is a strong reason to see this movie. Pritam always does the best work from this movie to "Jab We Met" and "Billu". The music is great and then is just enhanced by the dance numbers beautifully choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. The music and dance numbers are great and pleasant to the eye with so many bright colors and beautiful shots. Bottom line, this is an EXCELLENT movie. See it!! | October 6, 2009 | N/A | |||
| East Is East - R | A very serious movie but funny at the same time. This movie really is a window into the difficulties of belonging to two really different worlds and the hardships of that. Om Puri did a great job as the very strict Pakistani father raising his children in England. All around, this film is a very deep film. | October 6, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Welcome - PG | Really funny! I really enjoy Akshay in comedies. Sometimes the situations are farfetched and the acting is over the top but that's what really makes Akshay's movies hilarious. Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar really do make a great pairing. The movies with their pairing are hits. Katrina should stick to Akshay or others besides Salman Khan as her leading hero because that's where she finds success. The entire cast does a good job in the movie. Mallika Sherawat was hilarious as her character. She had me laughing each time she came onscreen. Good humor and music make for a good time watching this movie. | October 6, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Extract - R | I thought this movie was great. It was a simple story that didn't need outrageous things going on in order for it to be funny. It was smart and witty and I appreciated that. I enjoy the occassional slapstick humor but I like when my intelligence isn't underminded and I get a movie that is funny by just being really well written. I thought the cast was very funny especially Ben Affleck. I love Office Space and I give Mike Judge props for this one as well. | September 14, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Dus - Unrated | I thought this movie was cool. Great action and dramatic scenes. The music is awesome. The twist in the movie is great! The ending of the movie had me at the edge of my seat. Sad ending but overall a really good movie. | September 14, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Aap Ki Khatir - Unrated | For this being the Hindi version of "The Wedding Date" I thought I was going to love it as much as the original but that wasn't the case. I thought subtle differences were what made me not like it. For example, in this version I didn't like that Priyanka's character Anu wasn't helping herself sell the whole new boyfriend angle to make her ex Danny jealous. In the other version Debra Messing's character at least went along with the things her new "boyfriend" Dermot Mulroney's character did to make her ex jealous. In Aap Ki Khatir, Anu pouted and would get mad at the stuff her male friend Aman did to get her ex jealous which I thought went against the whole point of what she was trying to do and made no sense to me. For it being the same as "The Wedding Date" except for minor details here and there, those details are what make me stick with the original. I like Priyanka and Akshay but not so much in this one. One good thing about this one is Dino Morea. He is hot and great eye candy! | September 14, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Rang De Basanti (Paint it Yellow) - Unrated | Great movie. Very powerful. The whole cast did a great job especially Aamir Khan. | September 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Reluctant Debutante - Unrated | I liked this movie. It was very cute. | September 8, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Ghajini - Unrated | This movie was great. The romance and action in the story are awesome. The story really becomes its own even though it was inspired by another movie (Memento). The movie is thrilling in trying to find out what happened to Aamir Khan's character Sanjay and Asin's character Kalpana. Seeing the events that happened through Sanjay's diaries helps the suspense because of the stopping of the story. Not everything is written down in the diary so the audience is taken in a different direction to find out who is responsible for what happened to the couple. Aamir Khan never looked better (Hot!). He really got fit for this role and it pays off on the screen. Asin is wonderful as the sweet and quirky Kalpana. The music in this already great movie is just a plus. The best I think being "Bekha" and "Guzarish". Excellent movie. | August 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Kaminey - Unrated | I thought Shahid Kapoor did a great job in this movie. He was polar opposites portraying this double role of twins. As Guddu, he's sweet and driven. As Charlie, he's mean and also driven but has different methods of achieving his goals. Really great acting from Shahid Kapoor as both characters. Priyanka Chopra was good as Sweety, Guddu's love interest. I thought the story was great. Twins who can't stand each other and have to deal with the consequences of the other's actions makes for a good movie especially when both roles are played by super hot Shahid Kapoor. I really liked the song "Dhan Te Nan". The song really goes well with the feel of the movie because both are very dark and gritty. | August 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard - R | This movie was funny. Crazy funny. I liked all of the antics that go on when Don Ready and his team set out to sell cars. Jeremy Piven and the whole cast is hilarious. It really is non-stop laughter. Loved it. | August 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| District 9 - R | Really great movie. It was crazy how relevant it was. I thought it was shedding light on human nature and how you could replace any minority group in place of the aliens and the basic idea of the story would still make sense. I give it props for being thought provoking especially in the beginning of the movie with the “real” news reports and experts. I liked how it was shot. The movie being footage from the fake MNU, the fake news reports, and following Wikus but also the aliens added to the grittiness of it. I really REALLY liked this movie. I hope the sequels happen. | August 19, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Anjaam - Unrated | I love SRK and when he can act in a role that makes me want his character to be killed, that's talent. Vijay (SRK) was just crazy and manipulative. SRK was great as a villain. The whole first half of this movie infuriated me but I'm sure that's what it's aiming at. The second half was so much better. Madhuri was great as Shivani. Her acting in this role is awesome. She makes you feel what she's feeling. I loved it when Shivani was able to get her revenge, but her end was sad. I was hoping it wouldn't end like that but I understood why she did it. Good movie. | August 13, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Zamaana Deewana - Unrated | Different twist on Romeo & Juliet. The story is the same base but differs in other important places. Anupam Kher was hilarious as K.D. especially where he dressed up as a woman to seduce both the crime bosses in the story (even if it was a figment of his imagination). I liked how the love story wasn't love at first sight because that always ruined it for me in Romeo & Juliet. I always thought it was more lust than love. The love story takes time in this movie and it's cute to see it play it out. The twists in the movie are interesting and very entertaining. The music is a plus to the good script and actors' performances. | August 13, 2009 | N/A |
